Stayed here before a couple of years ago, so was looking foward to staying again. Good bits: new reception area installed. Service is excellent, really friendly. Rooms are quiet - good night's sleep (Room 21). Now got full size mirror in room. Warm (radiator AND room heater!). Not so good bits: Rooms a bit frayed now - light bulbs missing,...

Full marks for the staff at this busy hotel, trying to get it modernised as a boutique hotel (well, that's what I think). The rooms are small (we had no.12) but comfy and the bathroom was fine. Everything was clean but our furniture was a bit scruffy - but no big deal. We had a splendid view of the bay...

My friend and I stopped in on our way through the town to get some lunch. I had the Beer-battered chicken and it was delicious! Cooked to perfection. Would've had more than one serving if I wasn't so full. Would definielty recommend it to anyone passing

After beach tidy up day, several of us went here for a meal. Positive and polite staff, good meal. See pictures. I think the place was renamed - can you tell; and toilets clean, room to move about. There were specials on but we opted for seafood linguine, fish and chips , and steaks with our ales.

We stayed here after driving down from Aviemore. A little confusion finding it as the name has changed to "Number 44" recently, but once in the rooms were lovely and clean / fresh, the staff were welcoming and we had a fantastic evening meal in Bar44 which is the hotel restaurant. Sea fire from our first floor bedroom, and a...

Stayed here for seven nights in a twin room. Room was spacious and comfy and could not be faulted in any way. Breakfast was of a high standard each morning with plenty of choice. Ate in restaurant a few times and food was top notch. Staff helped to make stay pleasant.

Just got back from two nights at this hotel with my significant other. We had a lovely stay! All the staff were super friendly and attentive and whilst it I true the reception is not always manned there are always staff at the bar to be found who will help with enquiries. The hotel is in a great location too,...

Found this place while touring the east coast of Scotland. Standard room facilities, clean and modern. Ok overnight stay in the heart of the centre of town and by the sea. Public bar within hotel. Comfortable room. Vegetarian cooked breakfast a bit small and lacking.

Okay the rooms are nothing to write home about but are clean and fine as a place to lay your head. We were lucky enough to get a room with a seaview which made up for any lack of finesse in the rooms. We got a good deal via booking.com for our one night stay. Breakfast was standard enough but...
