Lovely place in Las Galeras, excellent for friends that are looking for a beauty hotel and peace. It have a beautiful beach nearby the hotel, through 10 minutes. The breakfasts are very varied and delicious, and their presentation is very particular.

we stayed there 3 nights, houses on site are very unique, especially bathroom, completely new experience of living, whole house is made from wood and it look very unique and beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay at Chalet Tropical. We spent most of our time in Las Galeras on the property, as it was a hotter than usual week in September. The cats and dogs on the property were the healthiest and cleanest we encountered in the DR. The breakfast each morning was tasty, and the kitchen was more than we...

When we arrived at Chalet Tropical Village we were not in good spirits as we had just been robbed. We had parked our rental car at Playa Rincon our car was broken into steeling our phones and money. The staff were really nice helping us. We had a nice little bungalow and that helped take the sting off of our...

.. I was so sorry when I heard your story: in 16 years I have been living in Las Galeras, I had never heard about a broken-car-glass ... and you got "my-first-one" unfortunately... just for the desire to see Rincon Beach that late afternoon. My regret was not having had chance to advise you before (as you drove there, before...

The place overall is very much like a eco-hotel or eco-hostel. The breakfast was awesome. No TV and no AC in our room but we didn't have any problem with this. The staff was nice and friendly. I'll definitely like to go back some time in the future and continue exploring Samana.

We wanted to visit Dominican Republic but preferred to avoid the All Inclusive resorts. It didn't take us long to settle on booking with Sarah at the Chalet Tropical Village. We had some queries beforehand so contacted Sarah for clarification and suggestions. Things like what to take, what was nearby, what could we do while there etc. Sarah was super...

Chalet Tropical is worth the trip out to Las Galeras. Easy to find, and just the right distance away from the main road. Sarah and her staff were incredibly welcoming, and were eager to accommodate anything we needed or wanted to do. We asked for help in renting an ATV, or "quad," for a day and it was delivered straight...
