We only stayed for 3 nights but it was perfect.
Lamberto was patiently waiting for us at the airport to take us to the hotel. It was a 3 hour drive but worth it!

I recommend heading west on highway 3 from Punta Cana until the intersection with the 'new' toll highway 7 that goes directly north until it intersects highway 5 that will take you all the way to Las Galeras. Highway 7 was, by far, the best highway we encountered in DR. Highway 3 is also very good. I can't remember the timing, but the trip will take the better part of a day, say over 4 hours.
