Again did not say in the hotel but had many meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner. The quality was superb and the buffet very varied and breakfast was excellent. They have some excellent waiters who are friendly and go out of their way to make sure everything is correct. Very much impoved, keep up the good work. Also had a Brazilian customer who stayed at the hotel for a few days so we could discuss business in a very pleasant location with all the amenities around us.

Nice hotel, it has been recently renovated, giving a very good overall impression. The food is good, all my meals were very pleasant. Had some problems though, my room was filled with mosquitoes, making difficult to sleep in some days, and also, my room had just one outlet, I had to charge my devices on turns.

Visiting friends nearby, there were very few hotel choices, but Orange Praia turned out to be a nice surprise - much better than we expected, and good value for money. The room was basic but clean and adequate with a big comfortable bed; no hot water in the shower, but with an outside temperature of 30+ it didn't seem to matter. Very good outdoor areas around the pool; the pool was good, cleaned every day; direct access to the beach, where there are a couple of bars/cafes and we had a good fish lunch at the nearest one. The hotel restaurant food was excellent. Caipirinhas at only BRL5 were great. The staff were generally nice and helpful (Romilson especially); receptionists spoke good English. The drive from Recife airport is long (75 minutes) and over very poor roads. There is really nothing to do locally if you don't have a car to get out. One of us tripped badly on the marble stairs on arrival and had a severe cut on the knee and bad bruising - the stair steps seem to be unequal heights. There could have been more solicitude and first-aid help offered by the staff.

The beach is paradisiacal, one of the most beautiful I've ever been to. However, the hotel is of poor quality and the receptionists acted with total and visible lack of will, with no desire to resolve the problem. Even telephone service does not have a standard, demonstrating a lack of patience with the guest. There is a charge for towels for the pool and the shower in the room is also cold.

Very easy to get to by car from Recife, all paved road to the Hotel. Excellent location, right on the sand. Along the side of Fort Orange and close to the boats that carry the Airplane Crown. Very fast 5G WIFI in the room and in the pool. Very nice pool area, good restaurant. Pool Bar is open until 10:30 pm. Simple and basic room, but in my opinion Ok, as I believe that one night is not enough for that region (01h30 from Recife Airport, in my case I was in a rented car). Good number of staff in the pool area, all very helpful. Coolers or drinks purchased outside are prohibited in the pool area, but there are no restrictions in the room)

Great staff. They didn't speak much English. The hotel is at the end of the city, so not very convenient to the town area, but it was very quiet (this was off-season). It has a nice beach. The food was delicious. It has a play area for children, tennis courts, hot tub, pool, internet. The ocean doesn't have waves, and isn't very deep. I did see kite surfers out.

Did not stay in rooms as we had rented a villa, went several times for drinks and and a meal. Meals terrible, no imagination and my spaghetti was cold so probably frozen! Went for breakfast one morning the scrambled egg has to be seen to be believed. The AC was not on very hot in the restaurant full of flies and mosquitoes. Drinks outside in the evening, service was with a smile so not bad but ants everywhere with nests that no one seems to bother about and mosquitoes everywhere, surely they could get some special candles or something, just feels like they do not care. What a shame!!

This hotel, which has a large swimming pool, is situated on the beachfront at Itamaraca. This is a nice clean beach with sandy pools that kids enjoy splashing in at low tide (but be careful of the occasional broken bottle) and beachside bars for adults. As with all ocean resorts, the beach can have big waves. The Orange Praia is the only hotel-class accommodation in town (facilities, if they worked, equivalent to a European 3*), and costs around R$200 (80 euros) a night.
Now for the bad part. The place was built in the 1980s, and seems to have remained in a time-warp ever since. Our toilet didn't flush (at all), and there was no hot water in the shower. When we complained about the shower, nothing was done, despite assurances that someone would deal with it in ten minutes. The through-wall air conditioning was so noisy that it was impossible to use, and the windows didn't fit properly.
If you want to visit Itamaraca, I would advise taking a return bus trip from Olinda, where there are many well-regarded pousadas. I can strongly recommend the Pousada dos Quatro Cantos in the Old Town ((+55) 81 34 29 02 20).

This hotel is about an hour outside of Recife and costs about R$130 for a taxi, one way. When we were pulling into the hotel, some local guys tried to hold up the taxi, so beware and don't stop. The lobby and pool areas were nice and clean. The pool has plastic tables and chairs with umbrellas and a few lounge chairs. Unfortunately, the rooms were in pretty bad shape, in that they just didn't feel clean, especially the bedding which had lots of stains. The controls for the lights and air conditioning (one temperature only) were located on the nightstand which appeared to be from the early 80s, with many switches not functioning. The shower was big, but we ran out of hot water twice in two days. The room had a king size bed and a twin bed with a mini-fridge stocked with water. I didn't think the service was anything special, but they were very busy as it was Easter weekend. They do not provide towels for the beach, so bring your own.

Definitely not in a tourist area, so unless you speak fluent Portuguese you may need to utilise Google Translate fairly frequently, but Orange Praia is a lovely hotel that's right on the beach, directly next to the Fort and a 5 minute boat ride to Coroa do Aviao, which is stunning and definitely worth a visit. The staff are fantastic - none spoke English but they were all incredibly helpful and patient with our pigeon Portuguese! My partner was unwell with a cough while we were there, and the staff on reception called a pharmacy for us to have medication delivered - I had asked for a cab to the nearest pharmacy but they did this for us instead, which was obviously a bit of a godsend! The food in the restaurant is also fantastic, specifically from the A La Carte menu (although the burgers are great too) - again, the restaurant & bar staff are attentive, and in spite of the language barrier, nothing was too much trouble. The pool area is lovely and the rooms are clean and spacious. Take insect repellent though - the windows in the rooms don't seal all the way around, so we were eaten alive on our first night there. Overall this is a fantastic hotel - we booked it last minute so weren't sure what to expect, but if you're looking for relaxation and staff who will really look after you, you can't go wrong here. The rooms and decor are a little dated, but don't let that put you off - it's magic 🙂

"It's difficult to choose a really good room: they either overlook the pool (from where there can be noise and music, but probably not that bad overall) or the car park or face the concrete boundary wall (where we were - again not too bad if you are outdoors all day). In early February, it was noticeably quieter on the weekdays, rather than the weekend (i.e. no kids)."
