This was a great find for us. The accommodations were a 10 out of 10, so was the scrumptious breakfast served up to us each day we were there. But what just blew me away was there absolute kindness knowing I was without a vehicle and offering to take me out to the beach with them, and then invite me... More

We spent 2 wonderful nights at the Rectory with our host Stan. The Rectory is a beautiful old (I believe 1885?) home that's in pristine condition. We had Jonathan's room at the back of the house. It was beautiful! The bed was comfortable and we had really good night's sleeps while at this B&B. The bathroom wasn't ensuite (the other... More

We stayed at the Port Morien Rectory in 2012. The hosts, Carol and Stan, are extremely friendly and accommodating - we thoroughly enjoyed visiting with them. Our room was was nicely appointed and comfortable. Our breakfast was excellent. If our travels take us back to Nova Scotia, we will definitely be sure to stay here again.

Stan and Carol have a gem here - a beautifully restored and maintained house on the quiet east coast "road less travelled". We had Jonathan's Room, the upstairs room at the back, with lovely furnishings, very comfortable bed and a modern-fitted private bathroom. Despite being at the back, a side windows does let you see the ocean. We were welcomed... More

We stumbled on this B&B, mainly because D knew Stan & Carol about 20 years ago in Ontario. Fortunate timing to catch them at the end of season (end of October), when many places are closed. We had "Sarah's Room" with 4 pc ensuite, and were very comfortable there. Storm "Sandy" was blowing outside but no problem for us. Breakfasts... More

We can't say enough good things about our stay with Carol & Stan. We stayed for 3 nights on our way to Nfld. and 2 nights on our return. The century home is nicely decorated and very clean. Carol & Stan make you feel so welcome and part of their family. It truly felt like home. The delicious multi-course breakfasts... More

Carol and Stan are ideally suited for hosting a bed and breakfast. From their warm and welcoming personalities to the home decor, to the absolutely fabulous breakfasts, they were unsurpassed by any other B&B we stayed at. Our conversations were jovial, we slept well on their comfortable bed and enjoyed well priced and tasty suppers at a nearby restaurant. During... More

Just like home - if you happen to live in a gorgeous, restored, heritage home minutes away from the beach. Stan and Carol were absolutely the most warm and welcoming hosts we encountered on this vacation. During our stay from August 24 to 26, we felt completely comfortable and relaxed. Our rooms were beautiful and clean, with bottled water provided.... More

I was in Port Morien to visit relatives in August 2012. My husband & I chose the Rectory B&B and it is a delightful place to stay. Sarah's Room is charming and the ensuite is an added bonus. Stan and Carol are gracious hosts. Stan even guided me to a relative's house. We were welcomed from the moment we arrived.... More
