Breakfast buffet was wiped out half an hour before end of breakfast. Staff was overwhelmed with work and was extremely slow. Cleanliness of rooms under par. Functioning vacuum cleaning is badly needed.

We were on the road to Italy and pre-booked this chateau to stay for a night. It was comfortable and a good sleep. The village and the surrounding area looked not so interesting, but not sure about that.

We stopped over during COVID. They were super accommodating. Beautiful rooms and great service. Our daughter forgot her pink unicorn at the hotel, they mailed it to our home. A great place to stop for those who are driving on the A42.

Beautifully restored fortified house, feels like a castle. Close by a number of caves and the mediaeval town of Perouges. Very good breakfast, excellent bread and selection of cheeses, meats and fruits. Lots of space in the family suite.

This was the most perfect room of our trip. The girl at the reception was perfect. We came by bicycle with the famaly. Our youngest boy is 6 yo, we didn't want to go out for diner. No problem, she made a perfect diner and bring that in the room. Every thing was fantastic.

Maybe if you book a suite in the old castle you might see something interesting. Our superior room was blandly modern, as were the common areas. There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel or the town, and after we saw the ill kept garden we decided not to sit there for a glass of wine. Our room was small and dark and there was nothing to do or see on the property, so we went to a nearby town just to have a place to sit and plan our next day.

whenever I drive to/from the South of France, alone or with my family, I take a break at this wonderfully renovated castle and guestrooms, where the quality and cleanliness of the rooms is clearly part of a high standard, as I have been able to enjoy this many times now. The choice and freshness at the breakfast buffet in the morning gives the energy needed to continue the long drive ahead.

We’ve stayed three times now, en route to the Alps and have watched the renovations unfold. The attention to detail in combining the ambience and grandeur of the building, with the convenience and quality of a good boutique hotel is impressive. The welcome is always warm and friendly and the breakfast typically french, wonderfully fresh and well presented. Having dinner at nearby Pérouges is an extra treat. Highly recommend this place, a real gem of a find in the rural French countryside
