If you are intending to arrive by train please be aware the station is a good distance away (3 miles or so) and there is an infrequent bus route to the town and then that doesn't stop near the site your best bet would be a taxi, and at night it is dark there so take a torch and there is no on site restaurant so you might have to book a taxi to get to the pub I'm afraid. Although fish and chip van visits once a week.
