This hotel exceeds all expectations. The architecture is wonderful, the service of the staff is fabulous and the location stunning. You look from your room directly on the Borobudur. There was even an archeologist on site who gave impressive lectures at night about the history of the Borobudur. In the morning you experience the best breakfast ever after your yoga...

Well dear reader I have to say this was an amazing place to stay on the wonderful island of Java. The reason most people come to this part of Java is to the ruined temples - and I not referring to Mrs Foodi8 and me - but the bhudist temple at Borobudur and the other bhudist and Hindu temples in...

Amanjiwo is an artwork of architecture set between jungle hills and rice fields. You can inhale the unique spirit of Central Java when wandering through the resort. Sitting outside on the private terrace listening to the sound of birds and insects that mingle with the prayers and chants celebrating the nightly end of fasting during Ramadan touched our souls to...

I travel a lot, and stay in an untold number of hotels around the world. The Amanjiwo is extraordinary, it is the perfect place to relax and love life. The service is incredible, the staff is extremely courteous and caring. They take care of anything you may need, and accompany around the countryside for any excursion you may wish to...

Stunning location, service and definitely the best Aman property I've stayed at. I can't say enough to praise the staff and manager. They offered a number of cultural activities that were really special - the evening seminars by a local anthropologist were quite informative and entertaining.

In addition to all special experiences in every specific Aman, this one has the particularity of being next to the Borobudur, a Buddhist Temple which is fantastic. It is possible to visit the rice fields in the area and wear rice hats, feeling like in a movie. The layout of the hotel with its circular floorplan is very unusual yet...

The setting is stunning as is the service.Every staff member was exceptional and the whole area seems to have benefitted from the hotel.Ian the capable GM and Marc the F&B manager did a terrific job...

*Nice view of Borobudur *Nice comfortable villa with big terrace in beautiful scenery *Very nice swimming pool ( not crowdy at all) *Friendly staff who really takes care of you. Nothing is too much. *The food is ok/good but too expensive and a bit more variation would be welcome * Good excursion program but the quality of the guides goes...

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel; it's like a huge stone temple and yet has extremely personal touches with local culture present through out. The staff are humble and charming and the supper we had last night exquisite. You can see the live volcano across the land and can see the huge and famous temple 5 minutes away from where...

We loved our stay in Amanjiwo. The combination of the location and the design of the hotel is exceptional. We truly felt peaceful. Because our flight was delayed, the activities that we arranged got mixed up, but the hotel and staff were wonderfully flexible. That alone made it a amazing experience. One night was definitely not enough to enjoy this...
