Quick check-in, quick checkout and excellent breakfast. Also room was nice and quiet, it was easy to fall in sleep. Private carpark behind the hotel was quite tight, but still it was necessity. Maybe if they added some possibility to charge your EV, that would be excellent.

Hotel's Favourite
Great, very central location. Amazing staff, everyone (reception, restaurant) was so welcoming and nice, beyond expectations. Rooms are a bit modest, but comfortable. Free parking at the roof very convenient. Definitely would go again when visiting Kouvola.

The hotel is located just in the city center, just in a few minutes walking distance from railway station. The hotel itself is oldish, I would say 3 stars. But the service deservs 5 star rating and because of it I'll give 4 stars to this hotel. I faced so warm welcome as ever and the services of the hotel (f. ex. restaurants) were introduced carefully. The TV in my room did not worked and the man from the reception offered a new room for me - only for I could watch TV! That I call super service. Even if the building and room need renovation I want to mention bathroom products of high quality (Face Stockholm). Also the room (or actually rooms in my case) was clean. Breakfast was ok as well.

Scandic Kouvola is a great hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the area. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with modern amenities like flat-screen TVs and ergonomic workstations. The staff is friendly and helpful. They were actually so helpful that they shared my personal information and credit card details with the local police. The location is close to many attractions. The hotel also offers a variety of dining options, from casual to fine dining. The floor was a bit dirty as can be seen in the photo but otherwise, my visit to the hotel was better than I expected.

Nightclub in the same building is open until 5 am and there is a constant low-frequency noise that makes sleeping impossible. We changed the room after first night and the second night was just as bad. Also loud traffic noise throughout the night. Never again!

Great location. Clean hotel, though a bit outdated. Single room was spacious, sleeping quality quite good. Not much of a view from my room, as it was towards the parking lot. Breakfast has a good buffet table, meeting several different diets.

We stayed here for two nights in the best room category which is Superior Family Four. They are spacious rooms with a sofa. The hotel is an old Cumulus and the decor is a little bit outdated. However, the room was very functional and clean. The hotel has two wings. Bigger rooms are located in the older one. The breakfast during these COVID times was handled very well. Everything was portioned to plates and cups. The receptionist was very friendly and knew all the Scandic Friends benefits which according to our experiences is very unusual. Our stay had a good value for 119 euros per night.

Excellent quality. Very good hotel in the center of Kouvola. Very useful free parking on the ramp. Room is not very new and not seem to be cozy, but it is clear, bed is very good, breakfast is nice, personnel is very friendly.

We have stayed here several times. The hotel is very standard Scandic hotel with an excellent location in the center of Kouvola. Clean rooms, although rather plain. Good parking facilities on the roof parking lot. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good, nothing exiting. Overall stay always pleasant.

Scandic Kouvola is in central Kouvola, 150 meters from the railway station. Hotel is Built 1952 and have about 100 rooms. Room was comfortable. Decent price. Had a good night’s sleep. Free and fast Wi-Fi. Breakfast is included, and the quality is good with some finish specialities. Staff is extraordinary friendly and spoke good English and Swedish.
