Very good communication with the woman in the reception. Nice, clean and bright room with bathroom. Small fridge in the room. Breakfast was excellent with everything you need: bacon, egg, sausage, bread, juice, cheese, ham and sausage, sweet bread, milk, youghurt, cereals, coffee, tea, jam etc. All in all the best value we had for our entire stay along the Rota Vicentina and Lisbon!
The old town was lovely and we found some really nice beaches, places to eat and tourist shops. The hotel was not what we expected, the owner spoke no English, the room was small but adequate, however the bath room had broken tiles, a shower that had mildew mould and hairs in the shower tray. Breakfast was very basic and although there were hot plates on show for hot food none were available. I know we were the only guests until the following morning I think more effort would have been nice. The man who served breakfast gave us a small jug of coffee, a jug of warm milk for both coffee and our cereal, he then sat on the settee playing on his mobile phone and ignored us. I am sorry but we wont be going back
Is not great but for a stopover is just enough. I would stay there for a romantic weekend, but is an ok place. Fair price, for a fair service. Rooms are ok, so are the bathrooms so you can get a rest without any problems.
If you're trying to make a visit no Vila Nova de Milfontes, and you don't need too much... Price: 44 Euros with breakfast. The place is close to the beach, right in the center of the Vila, near all the restaurants, with room cleaning everyday. The manager is a old sir, but very nice with all the customers. Basic breakfast, but good. It's not easy to park around the hotel.
This place is simple but good. It had everything that we needed, a comfy bed, an ensuite, TV etc. it was not expensive and included breakfast. As it was off season when we stayed, we were the only guests so the breakfast was not a buffet but it was good, bread (big fresh rolls) ham, cheese, yoghurt, juice and cereal if we had wanted. The owner and his father were really nice and friendly. Again, as it was off season we could park alongside the hotel.
We checked in, saw the tiny room with lots of noise in the street, no breakfast and no parking and checked out. For the same price we found a 3 star hotel on the water with breakfast, free parking, pool, gym, restaurant and more.
Hi, I have stayed with my wife and daughter during 10 nice days in " Casa dos Arcos". The location, the owners, the rooms are very pleasent. The Breakfast have of all that is good. I recomend this Hotel if you wan't to be on center and the same time with peace that is need for your vacations. The relation between cost and quality is very good. I recomend some places to eat, like for example the restaurant "Flor do Mira", the ice cream shop "Geladaria da Pietro". This two are very good . Cheers.
this is a lovely little family run 2 star hotel in a great spot just off the main street in the heart of town - room was large , very clean , great aircon , nice breakfast , comfy bed -we really were impressed
Very clean and cosy. Very Quit in the old center of the Village. Car is not need to go to the beach. Breakfast as expected for a beach hotel. TV had only 4 channels all in portuguese and none with news.
We are a French couple from Montreal Canada, we did a trip of one month in Portugal this last October 2013 and we stayed in 17 hotels. Hotel dos Arcos was our second one. We stayed one night September 29th 2013. Price: 50 Euros with breakfast. Closed to the beach. Pros: well situated for restaurants, room clean but basic, big bathroom with a table to put our bathroom supply, quiet. Cons: hard beds, only locals channels at TV, no Internet in all hotel, basic breakfast, parking not easy around hotel. We recommend that hotel but for one night only.
