Is Perfect sea water pool is sublime I am full of admiration for the place l could go on and onapparantly i havto you will love the manageress andrea fish market and fine fish restaurant s nearby beds are so comfortable
Our group of nine friends spent two nights here at the beginning of our walk along the Rota Vicentina. On our arrival, the lobby smelled of cinnamon from the pumpkin jam cooking in the kitchen. The grounds around the pool are beautiful. Our rooms were comfortable and impeccably clean. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was warm and kind. Our stay here was delightful. We all loved our time at Quinta do Moinho de Vento!
The grounds were beautiful and our standard double was immaculate and looked new. The manager was very gracious and refunded the amount of our breakfast because we would not be able to enjoy it. We were walking the Rota Vicentina and wanted an earlier start. He was also helpful recommending restaurants in town. The reason I say not right for us? 900am breakfast was the earliest. This will not be ideal if you are walking the trail. Plus we are accustomed to getting up early and enjoying our morning coffee. There wasn’t an option with a kettle in the room to make our own. We would have preferred a location a bit more central. After a long day’s walk, we didn’t want to walk another 10 minutes to town and then return, especially in inclement weather. To be fair, it was raining heavily during our stay. Traveling off season, I believe we were the only guests in the hotel. Nothing bad, just things to keep in mind depending on your style of travel.…
Quinta de Moinho de Vento is located just on the northern edge of Vila Nova... about a ten minute walk into the centre. Although next to a campsite we heard no noise from there at all. As mentioned above this is also a good base from which to explore the surrounding area which boasts some superb beaches. Our room, "standard double", was perfectly good, clean and comfortable, with a good sized bathroom and a Juliet balcony overlooking the pool area. The quinta itself has lovely grounds and in addition to the pool there are gardens, a tennis court, a terrace and ample parking for guests. Breakfast was very acceptable, although lacking a cooked element, and additionally you can get tea/coffee/drinks etc from the bar at very reasonable prices. There is also a lovely lounge to sit in. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. A great place to stay and we intend to return.…
We had no idea what to expect in the town, area or hotel. But we have had a very good experience. The hotel and room are spacious, relaxed and very pleasant. Breakfast is very good, with fresh orange juice, warm breads an good coffee. The location is easy to go into town, the beaches are beautiful and the staff at the hotel and in general here very helpful and friendly. It is true it is a place to enjoy nature and relax but....... If it rained I’m not sure what you could do, restaurants are very busy and often slow and the town is I bit tatty but we found it charming and a different type of experience to more popular places
Booked to stay for 3 nights while travelling from Lisbon to Algarve. We loved the character of the property and relaxed atmosphere. Our room had a huge balcony facing the garden and was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was typical Alentejo products. These were very fresh and plentiful. Bread and croissants were brought warm from the kitchen. The pool area was lovely and nice and quiet. Short stroll into the village which had some really nice restaurants. Lots of nice beaches within walking distance too.
Traveling from Algarve up west coast we checked in but realising we’d got our dates wrong. Regardless they went out of their way to prepare our rooms. What a lovely little place, was originally a farm mill so space is a little of a premium inside the main building but this adds to character as with the pool. Is however a lovely place, nice family atmosphere, great value including the good selection of food at breakfast time and a lovely scenic place to relax which comes with a hammock, tennis court, board games and free cycles to hire! 100% highly recommended and the owners are lovely.... might even add then to my latest book, my little casa!
We spent two days here on our bike riding tour of Portugal. The room was clean and tidy the shower water hot. Room was very large with separate kitchen and living including outdoor seating. There is a pool which is very inviting and breakfast was filling. Not too far out of town. We enjoyed beer and wine on the terrace overlooking the garden. Very relaxing.
Travelled up from the algarve for a 3 day break.we were returning after staying one night in may. This is more than your average b and b. We noted previous comments about small rooms. Check out room 11 which is spacious and has a large balcony overlooking the garden. Breakfast is an extensive buffet with all you would expect. The homemade jams are wonderful. We dined in a local restaurant recommended and booked by the friendly staff. We will return in 2018.
Stayed here for a week whilst on an activity holiday with family in the town. Small hotel, with friendly staff, located a few minutes walk from the village centre which had an abundance of great restaurants. The rooms were simple, clean, and spacious (stayed in room 2, a triple) perfect for what we needed. The gardens of the property were lovely and well kept, there is a small climbing frame with swings and slides that the children loved chilling on. The pool was adequate for the children to play in probably too small if you want to swim lengths. Nice continental breakfast served every morning with fresh orange juice and warm croissants.
