We stayed on saturday night. The room although not huge was clean and very comfortable, with a well appointed ensuite. We had dinner in the resturant which was lovely the veggie choice was good. Breakfast was also excellant. All in all a very good choice for us.

15 of us booked for 1 night, the Inn provided an Evening meal on the Sunday, which was my Sister in Laws Birthday, followed by a Wake for my Sister in Laws late father on the Monday. The Inn was friendly clean and all the stall were very accommodating. The food on the Sunday was amazing big portions, piping hot and...

Very good welcome here. Lovely room (6) with good sized bathroom. Two chairs in the double room ! Good food which you can have either by the bar and open fire or in the restaurant. Reasonably priced and good sized portions. The whole place is very clean and well presented. Good size car park and easy to find.Handy for either...

Very helpful staff and good food. Our room was fine but the shower didn't work properly and neither did the TV. We chose The Blacksmiths because it was adjacent to a lovely walk which I would highly recommend.

dropped in here quite late and was pleased to find they were still serving and had a table free. Nice smallish menu and a specials board but we opted for the steak pie with vegetables, chips and potatoes and it was first class as was the service from the man behind the bar and the waitess. If I am in...

Found this pub after failing to find our preferred choice...and it was a brilliant find. We had dinner in the small restaurant...linen tablecloths! Our party was really happy with their menu choices...Madeira Chicken...Mushroom Stroganoff...and chips fried in vegetable oil (rather than the more popular but pungent beef dripping prevalent in the Yorkshire area...vegetarians beware!).

Having been let down elsewhere, the friendly team at The Blacksmiths Arms were so helpful at 8.55 pm. Our table was reserved, we ordered quickly and enjoyed a fabulous meal. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and we made the most of "steak night" blackboard specials, which were excellent value for money! The quiz night was...

Group of us stayed for one night while down for a cycle race in Scarborough. No issue with stay at all, staff could not have been more helpful (especially tall, dark haired lady ). Had dinner too, and food was pretty good too. Rooms nice, comfortable beds.

First time of staying in a pub, and would definately stay again. Some hotels could take a leaf out of their book, very friendly and helpful staff, with excellent local knowledge. Breakfast served in the dining room and very well cooked, we also ate in the bar at night and the food was also excellent. Stayed in one of the...
