Popped in here while it was pouring down with rain for dinner we ate off the £6 menu which in all fairness is a bargain. I had lasagne with salad and garlic bread hubby had a burger with skin of fries and daughter had a children's meal. We all enjoyed our food and would look to visit again. And service...

Enjoyed a lovely evening down the bear inn with friends on Saturday evening, had half a chicken with chip and slaw which was delicious! Amazing service by Maggie who once again gave us an amazing amount of service, fully recommended!

Hi lynham0108 Thank you again for leaving such a fantastic review! Maggie is thrilled to have gotten another stellar review. The rotisserie chicken really is fantastic! (You should try it with sweet chilli sauce). Kind regards, Sean.

Expensive for what it is, but you are paying for the High Street location close to Clarks Village and Millfield school. I was charged just under £80 B&B where £65 B&B would have been more appropriate. You won't know in advance whether they will put you in the main building or the cottages down the road. I was in cottage...

Hi Snowbird52 Thank you for your review. I'm glad you found the room to be so clean and spacious! The cottages are ideal as it is much more quiet and slightly removed from the main road. Unfortunately we cannot control the footsteps of other guests, although we wish we could say that we do! We look forward to seeing you...

Booked in for a couple days whilst visiting the area on arrival we were met with a friendly welcome. The accommodation was basic but clean as a base that's all we required. Breakfast covers everyone's requirements and on at least two nights there are special offers. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we revisited the area

stopped for a meal off a long trip on a week's night. Few locals drinking their beers. Both locals and publican were friendly. Menu was nice and varied. Potatoes were absolutely delicious, a good chef. Parking available just round the corner. Good spot for a village pub drink or simple meal. Wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

The pub itself was modern, bright and welcoming. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good and reasonably priced. Good selection of beers. Unfortunately our room was in a separate building (Blossom Cottages) down the road from the pub, which in itself is not an issue but the room was tired and not as clean as it could be. Uncomfortable...
