If you have a car whilst in McCarthy I totally recommend you stay here. The cabins are so comfy and spacious and if you want to 'get away' then this is your place. There is no TV or Wifi, but that makes it all the better as you can enjoy the fabulous view and relax in nature. Well worth a...

Cabins are neat, tidy, well equipped, and spacious for two. The cabins are very eco friendly - primary power is solar. A little warning though - hair dryers and similar electric appliances that create heat will not work, thus no toaster or microwave, but cooking with propane was great. Also, we let the staff know about the irritatingly squeaky bed...

I have been back to wonderful McCarthy and Kennecott in the past. Wrangell-St.Elias is a fantastic park. The accommodations are usually pretty good, but what can you expect at "the end of the road"? Well, Andy and his family have built a Shangri-La at the end of the road! These cabins are beautiful, luxurious and yet environmentally friendly. Coming back...

Andy and his family have created a perfect place. The cabins are simple, well-built, immaculate, very comfortable with great beds, well -appointed kitchens, and large bathroom. The deck with barbecue has a great view. The run a green business with solar, recycling, and growing veggies in large greenhouse tunnels. The place is about 3 miles from the bridge into McCarthy,...

Your private cabin is like new, spacious, really nicely equipped kitchen, private deck with your own BBQ grill and all of the tools you will need to cook out or in and enjoy the great views of the surrounding mountains. Without question, this is the best place to stay! It is just a short distance to the foot bridge that...

This is my second stay at Currant Ridge. The cabin would be an excellent place to stay no matter the location, but to find it in a remote location is a pleasant treat. Four of us stayed there with plenty of room. I slept on the couch and found it to be very comfortable--I did not convert it into a...

Currant Ridge has spacious, very clean one bedroom cabins with gas grill, large deck, nice kitchen. Everything is very high quality and well maintained. Even the cook wares are the best quality. The Owners also offer recycle options. We can pick vegetables from their garden and green house. And they just tasted great!

McCarthy, Alaska is REMOTE at the end of a 2 hour dirt road. Currant Ridge was a pleasant surprise! Spacious, very modern one bedroom cabins with gas grill, large deck, nice kitchen, and lots of hot water! We only stayed one night, but I wish we could have stayed another day or two just to enjoy the beautiful views and...

Very clean, spacious one-bedroom cabin. We stayed two nights. Fresh vegetables like kale and lettuce grown on site. Owners were very nice and helpful. Sofa bed very uncomfortable, but the solution is to put the mattress on the floor. Then it was fine.
