Not being able to travel abroad I decided to visit a part of the country I hadn't been. I booked at the rhu glenn hotel about 10 minutes drive out of Waterford town I was greeted warmly by the receptionist who hooked me in and explained the rules regarding having a drink. They had opened a resident lounge were they offered bar service without having to purchase food. I stayed in room 6 which was comfortable. The shower was over the bath but had plenty of hot water and had great pressure I ate both days in the bar and the food was excellent I particularly enjoyed the cabbage and bacon lunch haven't had this in years. On Saturday night although there was no entertainment the bar was very busy. I would say when the restrictions were lifted on regards to live entertainment this hotel would be jumping. I enjoyed my stay in Waterford having visited the crystal factory and the famine boat in new Ross. I would recommend this hotel while visiting Waterford.

My husband and I stayed here for one night. Room was spacious and immaculate. We enjoyed our meal in lovely big spacious dining room, all covid guidelines adhered to by staff, yet relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast, the best we have had in any hotel we've been too! Many thanks to all the staff for a very enjoyable stay.

Had lunch here recently with son - food was a fantastic and so fresh. Huge portion sizes. Seating is well spaced out, one entrance point & separate exit point. Sanitiser available by each doorway and menus & tables regularly sanitised - very much covid compliant

eventhough it was around 4pm when we arrived there was a good selection to choose from. We were seated table sanitised staff all wearing masks and kept a good distance from us. The menus were laminated and sanitised before we got them. Tables were well apart. Then the food came it was delicious. Thank you and well done, keep up the good work. We will be back.

We visited this venue for three nights, just after the lock-down was lifted. Serious Covid-19 restrictions were in place and were being observed by staff and customers alike. From the moment we arrived we enjoyed excellent service from extremely friendly staff. The room was clean and tidy. Traffic noise from the main road during daylight hours was easily heard but this reduced to a trickle at night. There was a restricted menu, due to the Covid changes. By the third evening I was repeating what I had on the first. This hotel is a great base for visiting local tourist spots. I actually felt very content when returning to it after a day's exploring. As mentioned before, the staff are very, very good but special mention has to go to head barman, Liam. He is a credit to his trade and really was the final icing on the cake for our visit. We will look forward to returning to this spot, especially when some sort of normality returns.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel have a nice view and get good light. However, there is road noise.

Hi Donal, Thanks for taking time to give us a positive review. I`m delighted you received the level of hospitality that we strive to achieve. I will pass on your compliments to my colleagues. Thanks for noticing the efforts we are making to help stop the spread of Covid 19. We made some alterations to our menu to help with service but with 12 Main Courses and a choice of Evening Specials, we feel there is plenty to chose from. We look forward to seeing you again in what we hope is the not too distant future. Warm Regards, John
