Large room, on the first floor. No elevator but I didn’t expect one since it’s a B&B. Lovely setting. The room didn’t have enough electrical outlets but the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was smallish with a shower but they had facecloths which a lot of B&Bs don’t. The person in charge was very helpful and the restaurant attached to it was excellent. I had a mushroom vol-au lent as a starter and a lamb dish which were both amazing, actually. The breakfast was a full Irish breakfast made to order.
Had a lovely stay here with family earlier this month. Lovely quaint hotel, very quite and peaceful. Fabulous hosts and beautiful views of Lismore Castle. Looking forward to returning again soon. Thank you Jo and Noreen
We arrived on Sunday 13th October to stay and join in the celebrations for a 50th Wedding Anniversary. We were greeted like long lost friends and shown to a beautiful large room with lovely countryside views. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. After a happy day we slept soundly and had a lovely breakfast with an open fire.
Had booked for after a Funeral ,The staff where excellent ,very helpful and friendly ,the food wasn’t bad ..I should have asked how much I was going to pay per head ,but I had other things on my mind ,dealing with the death of my husband and trying to console my children .So have to say we the family where very shocked at the price we had to pay , a buffet lunch of wedges ,sausages ,chicken goujons ,sandwiches and tea and coffee .we asked for about 70 people came to €940 have to say it came as a big shock to us .
We organised a family reunion for over 80 people, many who came from around the world, in the Lismore area with Ballyrafter House Hotel as our base. From the outset of our planning for this reunion, the proprietors of Ballyrafter House Hotel, Joe & Noreen, did everything to accommodate us as we tailored the weekends events to suit our needs. From supplying display boards and projectors & screens, organising meals and catering for dietary requirements to working around our off-site excursions, nothing was a task too big. Their flexibility, professionalism and, above all, their friendliness, makes this venue what it is and, in turn, it's what contributed to making our gathering weekend what it was - a wonderful success. Their friendliness permeates down through the hard-working staff, all of whom were wonderfully pleasant and accommodating towards our guests, right from the start of the weekend through to the end. Thank you, Joe, Noreen and all the staff of Ballyrafter House for ensuring that our guests had a wonderful experience, and thank you for the wonderful assistance that you gave to those organising the event.…
