Five of us dined in Hanora ‘s Cottage last Saturday. It was a wonderful experience for all of us from start to finish. We were warmly welcomed and we enjoyed an excellent meal. One of our group is a coeliac and every effort was made to accommodate her. She was even given gluten free bread to take home with her ! All in all a wonderful finish after walking the Blue Way from Carraig On Suir to Clonmel which I would also highly recommend. Mïle Buíochas Joan
My wife and I stayed here for two nights and have nothing but good things to say about the experience. The area is stunning, with scenic walks and beautiful views around every corner. Hanoras itself is a lovely country house retreat away from the hassles of city life. Our room was huge, the jacuzzi bath fantastic and the shower was so powerful it felt like you were getting a deep tissue massage! The food is fantastic, breakfasts are rightly famous, try the homemade breads, and the evening meals were also top notch. Steaks and seafood cooked to perfection. We will be back!
My husband and I visited here yesterday. We had the most relaxing 24 hours and would like to thank Mary and all the staff for their hospitality. I am coeliac and dairy intolerant which usually means a restricted menu when we eat out; not here though. When we arrived we were offered tea and buns, I had 2 freshly made buns with my tea which were delicious. For dinner I had the option of almost everything without any fuss, I even got fresh, warm lemon cake with dairy free custard for dessert, which makes a welcome change from the usual offer of fruit salad! They had also baked gluten and dairy free white and brown breads so that I had a choice there too. There was soya spread for the bread and soya milk for my tea so they thought of everything!! I cannot thank you all enough for…
We had booked Hanora’s for an overnight when we were down that way. We were welcomed by Mary and shown our room by Louise which was beautiful and offered to come down for afternoon tea. When we came down there was a lovely ambiance in the room and Louise asked which we would prefer tea or coffee. We had a lovely afternoon tea and relaxing time. In the morning we came down for breakfast and shown our table by Judith and the table presentation and breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed and definitely recommend and hope to be back again!
The location beside the river, the lovely church and environment were more beautiful than I had remembered. Thank you for a lovely overnight stay and of course delicious breakfast especially the fruit and salmon AND the homemade bread.
