Can’t speak highly enough of this gem !! From the hospitality, comfort, food, location - the list is endless. The Wall family run the house with such professionalism and attention to detail and nothing is too much trouble. Can’t wait to revisit.
My husband and I recently stayed at Hanoras cottage and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It is a real hidden gem, tucked away in the Nire valley and ideal to unwind and relax. Mary Wall does a great job in welcoming everyone and making them feel relaxed. The team is friendly and provide a great customer experience. The food is fabulous, with choices like fresh crab, halibut, steak etc. There is something to suit everyone. Breakfast is equally fabulous with beautiful fresh berries among other lovely choices. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. This is an ideal location for lovely scenic walks. We will certainly be back and highly recommend a visit
We stayed in Hanoras cottage for 3 nights last weeks. Everything about the place was wonderful. Food, atmosphere, rooms and the staff. The walks were amazing and that cup of tea and cakes was a delight. We just loved the sound of the river from our bedroom We will be back int the Autumn. Betty
I first went there two years ago for dinner. Everything about the experience was utterly unique, personal and of exceptional quality. The three course dinner was some of the nicest food I’ve ever eaten. I’ve been back for dinner nine or ten times since. The menu includes something for everyone and the food and service continue to be outstanding. I also went to Hanora’s to have breakfast with some friends. I knew it won Best Breakfast in Ireland and was very excited to try it out. I was not disappointed! The selection of cereals, fruit and home-made breads was like nothing I’d ever seen and I had a fry too which was absolutely beautiful. In February I spent the night in Hanora’s Cottage. The room was incredibly spacious and luxurious with a beautiful view and the most enormous…
A lovely warm welcome awaits you in Hanora's Cottage. The location is gorgeous. The bedroom was lovely and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. But what stood out for us was the staff - they couldn't have been nicer. We will definitely be back.
Went as a couple for an evening meal. Warmly welcomed by the owner we chose from a lovely set menu and were then treated to a really good three course meal in a lovely atmosphere. All in all this restaurant provides an excellent night out and gorgeous food. We will be back
We had a meal tonight in hanoras cottage What a wonderful place. A hidden gem. Staff and food wonderful. Will def be back again. Well worth a visit.fantastic quality food for a great price. Its such a cosy place
Great for a ladies' reunion. Fabulous loop walks in the Comeragh Mountains less than 10 minutes away. A warm welcome from Mary and her staff followed by afternoon tea with yummy buns and cakes. Very comfortable rooms each with a large ensuite bathroom complete with a luxurious jacuzzi.
My wife and I spent 2 nights here on 23/24th Sept. Apart from the wonderful hospitality ( on the first night we were the only guests ) however, we were treated to an excellent dinner followed on Tuesday morning to an amazing array of treats laid out on the breakfast table. Tuesday was not a good day for me, as walking on the tops of the Nire Valley I fell and lost an implant tooth in the process. Mrs Wall alerted by other very kind walkers on route, came up to collect us off the mountain and then proceeded to arrange for a local dentist to treat me the following day. This was Irish hospitality at its best and will return to this wonderful part of County Waterford
Our second visit to Hanoras Cottage, we found it much easier this time, The restaurant is excellent, superb food, lovely flavours and sumptuous breakfasts. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well proportioned with a well equipped bathroom. The welcome is extremely welcoming & friendly. Our two night stay proved very relaxing especially given the superb and beautiful location in the Nire valley and close to the Comeragh drive. We would be very happy to return if we revisit the area.
