Quietness in the hills personified. A most peaceful, picturesque location. The hosts were most welcoming and hospitable - from arrival to my departure they were most attentive to every detail - nothing was overlooked. Accommodation was excellent - spotlessly clean and comfortable. Food was mainly home grown, of excellent quality and expertly prepared by Lynette and Trevor. Tracey, the swimming... More

Went here for my birthday with my nearest and dearest over the weekend.... What a fantastic time, cozy and warm, dinner served was gourmet pizza and home baked brownies for dessert, the hot tub was the highlight...we had such a fabulous time. Trevor and Lynette were the perfect hosts. We will definitely be back.

We headed to this getaway for my sisters birthday we couldn't rate this hideaway any more than the 5 stars I gave it , Trevor and lynette are definitely the hidden gems here in this hideaway, they went over and above the call of duty to be there for us for everything we needed whilst hiding in the background and... I went to do the fear of water course and arrived terrified! Lynette was very welcoming and reassuring. The accommodation was excellent and food delicious (they use lots of home grown and home made produce of great quality). The swimming teacher Tracey is incredibly patient and encouraging and I feel I made great progress in gaining confidence in the water.... More

Aptly named, high up in the hills. Peaceful and picturesque. Excellent accommodation with good attention to detail, and a warm welcome. Tasty home cooked meals. About 30 minutes drive from a few good shopping & lunch destinations. All in all, everything you could ask for a relaxing holiday. BUT they also have an 'endless pool' at the side of the... More

Decided after spending a lovely night there before I would book Ard na Ciuin for my 30th birthday party. The attention to detail from the time I made my booking was fantastic! Lynette kept in touch throughout the weeks prior to our visit. I explained different dietary requirements some of the girls had and she was happy to accommodate them.... More

The drive up to Ard Na Ciuin over a very hilly rough road may be a bit daunting but well worth the effort. It is such a beautiful, tranquil place, peace and quiet, no traffic. Along with looking after their cattle, pigs, chickens, ducks and goodness knows what else, making home made wine and jams, baking cakes, growing vegetables, they also... More

This is a hidden gem in some of the most glorious scenery - a wonderful starting point for exploring the surrounding area. We have stayed with Trevor and Lynette on several occasions and the standards, service and hospitality are second to none. We shall certainly come again and would gladly recommend this guesthouse to others
