Having been booked in to another hotel that turned out not to be accessible the wonderful owners came to our rescue. The room is in an annex in the courtyard and parking space is included. The room and particularly the bathroom is the best we have ever had in France. The bed and bedroom were large and included tea and...

this was our second visit and we will stay again. This time we had a room at the front of the hotel but the street was quite so we were not disturbed by the traffic. Wi fi was fine and a good range of beers at the bar

We had a first floor room facing onto the road, which allowed for some people watching as it was a lovely sunny day. The hotel is at the quieter end of town, though still only a short walk to the main hub. Beds were comfortable, room was quite large. The staff are welcoming. We regretted having booked for only one...

The best thing about this hotel is, without doubt, the location in this lovely little town. The chambre d'hote we usually stay in was full and, somehow, the Picardia did not match up. It is well known that parking in St Valéry is a problem; the hotel does have a courtyard which holds 3 cars but we were declined access...

This hotel is small and unpretentious, but with great character and is very good value for money. The double rooms are spacious (with separate bathroom and loo), spotlessly clean and the beds extremely comfortable. For a 3 star hotel it is excellent, with nice touches such as complimentary bottled water. It is in a good location about a 20 minute...

There are many hotels in St Valery and this probably falls into the OK category. Plus points were that it was very clean and comfortable and also in a quiet yet handy location. Parking in town is tricky, and even though they don't advertise it, the hotel does have just three private parking spaces which are bootable in advance at...

An hotel which has real character and is very well situated in this very attractive town with a medieval heart. The room are very comfortable and an excellent breakfast is provided. Car parking is the only negative with very few spaces available and the alternative being a public car park across the road opposite the hotel.

Had to find a hotel for a very quick stopover on way back to channel tunnel so booked a family room at the Hotel Picardia. Arriving at about 9pm we were greeted by a young lad who was the night porter and he was extremely pleasant and helpful, proper service with a smile. Sadly parked was all taken up so...

The hotel is a nicely restored old building with lots of character and only 100 metres or so from the waterside. There is also a reasonable pay and display car park opposite and the large free car park higher up the town behind the hotel. Rooms are advertised as "soundproofed" and they may be but we were woken by voices,...

“Our room at the front was quiet mostly, but we had the window open as the room was warm and you did get a bit of traffic noise.”

“The town is quiet at night so rooms on the side facing the road are ok and some give a glimpse of the water. The 3 bed rooms for families etc are interesting but especially noisy and the mezzanine window (dormer) does not seem to open to in hot weather you really cook. The best rooms are the newly built ones across the courtyard.”
