Friendly, beautiful and clean place. I have coeliac and noted this on the booking form. I didn’t even need to remind about it; tasty gluten free bread for breakfast with huge care taken in order that there was no cross contamination. Jouni is super thoughtful!
We did enjoy our stay in Hotel Palo. The staff was very friendly and helpful, while the rooms we're clean and nicely decorated. Very idyllic place, within close distance to the local town center. Also the breakfast buffet was great!
We visited Naantali during winter time and Hotel Palo was almost empty as is most of Naantali. We had room #1 which is two rooms for 4 people. Rooms and the furniture are old in a good way. Pros: friendly host, great location (close to old town and sea) and quite ok breakfast. Cons: sound isolation is very basic and you can hear the neighbours quite well. But all in all recommended place.
Super service by owner Jouni Kankaanpää. Exellent location at Old Town Naantali. Very personal building and romantic rooms. Good, tasty traditional Finnish/Scandinavian breakfast. Free wifi at room. Free parking. Next time here!!
Stayed couple of nights here in summer 2018 with family during trip to Moominworld. Family room was very spacy for 4 people. Excellent location, short walk to Moominworld and to Old town services. 1km walk to nearest supermarket. Owner was friendly and placed us to a family room next to playground.
The room was clean, cozy and old fashioned in a good way. Bed and blankets were ok but pillows needs an update. Bathroom and shower was nice and clean. Breakfast was served in a basement and had a good quality. Tea,coffee, juices, eggs, cheese, cold cuts, bread, oatmeal, turkish yoghurt with musli and berries, fresh veggies, croissants, jam and bisquits. Location was nice, close enough to everything.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Hotel Palo for 8 nights. Perfect for us with two young children. Our room had a separate entrance on the East side of the hotel which was facing a clean and safe playground which up to early teens can enjoy. My daughter got up in the morning and went straight there to play before breakfast. We were happy to just let her play by herself until we got ready for a day. It is also very conveniently located - 5-10 minutes walk to bus stops from which you can get to Turku and Helsinki and a supermarket which is open daily until 11pm. Another 10-15 minutes walk to the other direction, you get to a beautiful pictureasque waterfront full of cafes and restaurants. Around the same area, you get a safe and beautiful secluded beach which is perfect for children as well as adults. The entrance to the Moomin World is just around the corner from the beach. The B&B itself was tastefully decorated with period features. If you and/or your children love period dramas/films such as Anne of Green Gables, Hetty Feather, Pollyanna and so on, you would certainly enjoy your stay even more! The place was also kept remarkably clean and I felt instantly comfortable. Their breakfast was full of variety including different types of bread rolls, sliced vegetables, porridge, berries, yoghurt, juices, tea and coffee. Thank you Hotel Palo for making our family trip so comfortable and memorable!!…
I love the athmosphere of this old wooden house which now serves as a B&B. It has character and warm cosyness. In here you are a part of a community: you propably know if there are people living in a next room, but that is part of the athmosphere. It is like jumping into ’50s with wifi! We stayed in Naantali and hotel Palo for three nights, and the owner Jouni and his staff were in all respect most helpfull and kind. I will recommend you!
Nice if you want old-fashioned. No chance of returning for me. Curtains too thin to keep street lights out. Bedding was poor: EG single quilts in a double bed never works. 1 pillow each provided, had to use cushions to make up the difference. Not my "cup of tea".
Cosy B&B in the center of Naantali. Spacious room, nicely decorated, with some antique touches. Tea and instant coffee available anytime. Good breakfast. Nice hosts. Nothing to complain about. Just a minor thing - the door was locked when we arrived and we had to call to find out how to get our key. It would have been nice to get the instructions by email before our arrival.
