Kalajoki beach is one of the best beaches in Finland. Maybe the best. Guitarmusic and beach belong together. So it is also in Kalajoki. Local and Finnish top artists perform in the camping restaurant. In a beautiful night like this July festival night we enjoyed together memorable moments of sunlight at night and good music. These are the golden moments in ones life.☀️

Whole last summer they was struggling with food being empty so you couldn't order what you want. The place is expensive. And for people who have rented season places you are not allowed to set up hard camp telt even you pay for many years staying. All activities around is really costly for an family 2 adults and 2 kids swimming 88€ and no discount for campers

A nice and beutiful place, soft sand and a great beach. There was an fu...g helicopter flying tourists the hole weekend from morning to late evening, cirkulating the camping site all the time. Not good

The camping ground and the beach are beautiful, there are great and well maintained facilities including several camp kitchens with fridges, coffee makers, micros and herds (no pots though, apparently they get stolen) and caters for loads of things to do for all ages ( pedal cars, minigolf, playgrounds, the beach, the surf, restaurant...). therefore some stars and i may want to go back on a day trip. I will not spend a night there anymore though unless i am prepared for not sleeping a lot. As we travelled with kids and were tired, we expected to get some sleep. we mentioned this when arriving but were not initially informed of a band playing and also not informed of their policy of silence being expected only midnight-6am. Later these came up but i was also told i should have checked these details from their home page. Then i was told the band would finish playing at 11pm but it didn't finish until after midnight. the band was pretty good though, so without kids i might have been happy about it but now i wish i would have gotten the information of a band playing very loud upon arrival. i suggested they'd keep the information by the gate, so that everyone can choose for themshelves if they are happy with this, hopefully they'll start doing it. the worse part was very loud neighbours though. They partied early on but right outside the campground. i chatted to them nicely about their intentions to maybe call it a night a bit later (this was early in the night) or to move inside and they were quite frank about not caring about anyone else and that the campground rules don't apply to them. to make the story short, we asked if we could have our money back as at this point we realised we wouldn't be getting much sleep here and wanted to go elswhere. I was told that is not possible. And the loud pack played their music louder than the band until 6.20am while camp guard did nothing. the guard watched them once but didn't say anything to them (he had claimed he had talked to them but we saw him!), only said it is not his area (which i believe was true), he can't do anything. But he could have talked to them anyway, we couldnt as the gate between us was locked at night but he had a key. He only called the police when we aked him to do so. the attitude was sadly that this is the way it is and both him and the receptionist admitted this happens often. So the night was crap for us but i am sure it would have been great for people wanting to party. also, it was a Friday night, maybe it is more quiet there during the week? a lovely touch though: one of the receptionist came to me in the morning saying she had talked to her manager and they would reimburse both nights to my account. I appreciated her effort a lot! if there are others who'd like to have a calm night, i suggest driving a little north to Pyhäjoki where there is a lovely little campground on a tiny island called Kielosaari. it is cheaper and has basic clean facilities right by the river.
