We made a reservation with my family and pretty much all of the employees had no clue and couldn't take us to our table. When we got to the table, the menus took very long to arrive and the food even longer. We waited for over an hour and the dishes were not worth the wait! Some of the food was cold and others just tasted bad and didn't match up for the wait and the price. Too much salt, poor flavors and too simple and not too tasty. Waiters seemed to be clueless a lot of the time and slow in action. Do not recommend :(
Lovely location. Examples of bad customer experience: Part of hotel staff was impolite, not even greeted expect the cleaners were friendly. When we were ordering food in hotel restaurant, waiter began to complain how crazy is that they must use mask on face and this pandemia is a big scam. At the same time she waved used mask in her hands in front of us. Very strange behavior. We came to eat supper, not to listening waiters opinion of corona.
Me and my husband had a dinner at Lokkilinna. The restaurant was almost empty. Service was slow and unpolite. Food was expencive and terrible. No one came to ask if everything was ok and if we want dessert. We waited quite a long time waitres, but she never came, so we went to pay the bill. Even then no one was interested about our experience. This is the worse restaurant at Kalajoki.
After reading some of the previous reviews, it seems that - at least during our one-night stay - they had taken the relatively poor feedback into account. Our spacey and very up-to-date room, with a kitchenette and a sitting area, had a large balcony facing the sea. One of the best views anywhere (we travel a lot)! Very comfy beds and a spotless bathroom. We enjoyed a delicious, well prepared dinner on the sun terrace. Breakfast was good. The only minus was the band that kept playing in the terrace bar until midnight; it was really loud even if you closed the balcony door.
This hotel was worth visiting only for the location and seaview. We stayed one night which was enough to enjoy the long sand beach area. The hotel rooms are very dated and both food and service were of poor quality. It’s a shame really because if someone would care enough, this place could be really nice with a location like that!
