Kalajoelle luvattiin aurinkoista säätä ja päätimme ajaa paluumatkalla kotiin tämän kohteen kautta ja vietimme samalla yhden yön Kalajoen hiekoilla. Majoituksen avaimet haettiin hotelli Rantakallasta. Palvelu siellä oli nopeaa ja ystävällistä. Maksoimme tästä yhden yön majoituksesta 90€. Majoituksen hintaan ei kuulunut aamiaista, josta olisi pitänyt maksaa 8€ henkilö. Kalajoen hiekkojen rivitalohuoneistot sijaitsivat hotellia vastapäätä olevalla mäntykankaalla. Huoneistot ovat vanhoja rivitalohuoneistoja alkuperäisessä kunnossa. Saapuessamme huoneistoomme tulvahti huoneistosta erittäin voimakas kosteuden ja homeen haju. Tämä oli hyvin ikävää astmaatikolle. Pidimme paljon huoneiston ovea auki, jotta kamala tunkkainen haju lähtisi pois. Havaitsimme, että myös muut asukkaat tuulettivat huoneistoaan.
Huoneessa oli likaista ja kulunutta. Jääkaapin tiivisteet olivat rikki, joten jääkaappia ei saanut riittävän viileäksi. Lavuaarissa oli halkeama, lattiat olivat hyvin pinttyneet, kaakelit homeiset, matot pölyiset ja lattialla eläinten karvoja. Huoneessa oleva kahvinkeitintä ei oltu puhdistettu kalkista aikoihin. Samoin huoneiston saippuapullot olivat tyhjät. Huoneistossa oli valmiiksi pedatut sängyt, jotka vaikuttivat puhtailta. Sängyt olivat kuitenkin pehmeät ja kuluneet. Aamulla suihkun paine oli heikko ja saimme suihkusta tulemaan vain viileää vettä. Aamulla herätessämme huomasimme myös, että asunnon ikkunoihin oli kertynyt yön aikana kosteutta ja tunnelma oli ”trooppinen”.
Mielestäni 90€ hinta tästä huoneesta on aivan liikaa. Olemme yöpyneet vastaavissa kohteissa myös muualla Suomessa mutta tämä ei vastannut hinta-laatusuhdetta. Emme odottaneen mitään erityisen laadukasta vaan vanhahtavaa ja siistiä huoneistoa. Myös vanha huoneisto voi olla siisti ja terve sisäilmaltaan. Tämä ei sitä ollut. Olisi reilua ilmoittaa asiakkaille, että huoneistoissa on mahdollisesti kosteusongelmia, sillä tälläisissä kohteissa yöpyminen voi olla uhka jonkun terveydelle.
Tätä majoitusta ei voi suositella kenellekään näillä hinnoilla.
