This is the most local pub to where I live so I do pop in often. The atmosphere is brilliant from both staff and customers the drink prices might be a little steep for some people but it's worth it. Especially if your having food...More

stayed one night after visiting Beamish Christmas evening fair. lovely old fashioned pub with good selection of real ales. Good food menu and good breakfast. nice to sit at side of open fire. Staff all happy to talk to you.

Great choice of real ales from local breweries. Great traditional pub where you can enjoy a chat without having to shout over music. Have had Sunday lunch on occasion and good value. Great log fire. Very friendly atmosphere

Stayed 2 nights to visit the museum. Handy bus stop outside the pub reasonable bus service museum 5 minutes ride away and goes right to entrance, save on entry by showing your bus ticket. Food was good had dumplings and mince it was huge. Room...More

Not sure of the mileage but it takes just 10 minutes to walk to the museum downhill. There is a bus stop outside of the inn and the bus takes you straight into the museum every half hour. Bus it back as it is uphill to... More
