This pub serves a great choice of real ales at very good prices. The staff are friendly to. I've also eaten Sunday dinner here, service with a smile but not the best of lunches. A lovely rustic pub worth a visit.

Lovely pub with rooms, good ales, great pub food with good menu. Rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Free parking outside and a good spot for travelling around the area. Stayed here for three nights and ate in the restaurant each evening, no complaints at all and would definitely stay again

Superb food and the inn take Taste Card which is a Bonus. The Large Cod was "enormous" and I had a job to eat it all, well cooked and very pleasant staff. A nice log fire and superb Real Ale also very friendly locals.

Stayed two nights in room 1. We were made welcome from the time we arrived until we left. Our initial impression was what have we booked as the building does not have a lot of curb appeal but in hindsight a product of its time supporting the local colliery now long gone. The room was large with two double beds...

Stayed here for 2 nights. You couldn't find a more welcoming pub anywhere. You're made to feel at home as you walk through the door and feel like one of the locals immediately. As it's an old inn expect some creeks and groans as you walk about, but don't be put off by that. The accommodation is clean and fresh....

This is a traditional local pub, with two bars, one the basic type and the other more "lounge-y", which is where you eat. There was a good open fire, welcome on a dull October evening. There is a good range of real ale which is well kept (according to my husband who is a real ale fanatic). The food is...

Room was large, spacious and had 2 double beds as well as 2 Windows making the room feel light and airy. Free toiletries and free parking. Ample tea, coffee etc as well as bottled water. Owner Simon even washed and tumble dried us...

We booked this Inn because it was near Beamish Museum and we had friends who stayed in No-Place many years ago. The inn is a beautiful old place that has been there for many a year. The decor is old fashioned and some would say in need of decoration but this is part of the charm of this place. Our...

We go here regularly and recently went for Sunday lunch. Good selection of vegetables with both roast and mashed potatoes. 3 large thick slices and tender roast beef. Nice country pub atmosphere with friendly staff and a great selection of real ales. Highly recommended...best in the area by far and not too expensive.
