This is a friendly bar with good beer. We visited as a couple and found that the locals are friendly and beer is cold. Will go again if in the area. The bar was quite busy for Saturday afternoon.

Stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is clean and tidy as was the room which was very unusual having a normal room and then stairs up to the roof space where the bathroom was. Staff very friendly and helpful.
The food in the restaurant far surpasses everything else. Otherwise this would just be a grubby little pub offering accommodation which is a little tired. Don't get me wrong everybody is helpful but being the only pub it attracts the great unwashed. Don't expect a...More
