My fiancé, his brother and myself stayed here last night. We couldn't fault it! The food was lovely, the staff were very friendly and the water bed was unexpected but surprisingly comfy! Would definitely return.

I booked a 1 night stay at the lion and swan hotel for myself and my wife. The hotel was clean and the staff were very attentive. The room had a superb 6 foot wide water bed that was so comfy. Breakfast was fantastic and everything i wanted. My wife loved every minute and is already planning a return visit

My friend and I had a three night stay here as we were visiting relatives in Congleton and we were more than impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the size and comfort of the rooms and the peace and quiet of the place. Normally we are bad sleepers and strange beds and surroundings make the matter worse but we...

This is a lovely lovely building with some quirky elements. Lots of wonky floors and steep stairs. The food is very good and the staff are friendly. BUT it needs a good deep clean. The bed linen and towels are very clean but the rooms are dusty. The room we were in the mattress needs replacing it was lumpy. The...

This evening my extended family of 22 people met to celebrate a Golden Wedding. Having sent a pre-order list to the hotel about two weeks before, I was hoping for smooth service, great food and a happy evening. This was exactly what we got! Although a couple of meals were a little later than the others, the staff soon sorted...

We were there last sat for a 60th golden wedding anniversary which was booked before Christmas and there was no mention of water beds . My husband and I found this most uncomfortable as did other guests who...

we booked an overnight stay hoping to see a little of the area, unfortunately Storm Doris arrived at the same time! The inn has a traditional black and white exterior but the inside has been updated, with a pleasant dining area. We were able to park in a secure car park situated at the back of the hotel. We booked in,...
