This place was beautiful, the staff amazing and so friendly and helpful. The food out of this world. When you arrive your welcomed by lovely staff, shown to a perfect room. With the best views. The bar was lovely, having drinks on the sofa's beside the fire. Looking out on to the loch. Dinner was so good, service amazing too....

This was our second stay at the Loch Melfort Hotel and Restaurant and I can safely say it won't be the last. The hotel and surrounding areas are stunning. I love the chicken on the front lawn, the Highland Cows... I almost feels like a home away from home as the staff and owners are so friendly. The scenery alone...

What a pleasant surprise! I often dread trying new places and eating away from home - often "gluten free" means a single option, and that's usually a steak or salad. At the Loch Melfort Hotel, the entire menu was available to me, with minor tweaks - it was appreciated that the chef was happy to make a cornflour batter for...

We were celebrating a friend's birthday with a meal in the restaurant, followed by a music session in the bistro. The hotel is set in a stunning location with wonderful views from the public rooms. The staff were all incredibly welcoming and friendly, the bar and restaurant were both very comfortable, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious...

Lovely hotel booked via an itison voucher, greeted with stunning views, brilliant and friendly staff that were happy to chat and offer guidance on what to do in the area, and a tour of the hotel social and dining areas. The room (cedar wing) was lovely, you'd need little more in it for a walking trip, and it had an...

We stayed in the cedar wing which was a relatively basic hotel room with uninspiring decor, but comfortable nonetheless. The bathroom was very basic and probably the biggest let-down of the room (verging on 2 star standard). Overall it is what you would expect from a 3 star hotel, with the balcony and sea view really being the feature that...

Booked this hotel as it says it's dog friendly. Found out on arrival that dogs are only allowed in your room when you are in attendance. When you go out of the room you must put the dog into the BOOT OF YOUR CAR. Not just the car but the boot..... This is far too restrictive had dinner in the...

My girlfriend and I both live in glasgow and really wanted to have a weekend away to relax and let the dog enjoy some nice walks in the countryside. This was the perfect place to do such a thing. Soon as we entered our warm and cosy room we were greeted with the most breathtaking views. The weather held up...

Stopped here for a coffee during our touring break in Scotland, great scenery from restaurant even though it was raining and the coffee was good too. Would like to return here for an overnight or two who knows we might manage to do that thus year.
