We agreed to accompany one family of our German friends on vacation, leaving the final destination and details to the family matriarch. After living a couple of years in Germany, we have learned that Germans take their “urlaubs” seriously and have very high standards for where they spend their holiday time. After several weeks of research and consultation, the matriarch... More

We stayed here at the beginning of March 2013, with a group of 8 friends. The food was delicious (we had the half board regime), the rooms very clean, large, Italian furniture. great staff. Lovely pool and spa area. The view of the area is very pleasant. Our balcony faced the valley, so every morning I couldn't wait to pull... More

We stayed here for 10 days last August (2011) with our 2 children (2 and 5). The hotel was wonderful, very welcoming and the facilities for young children are very good. We spent a lot of time in the pool. Our room was really good - we had the Tower suite which is up at the top of the hotel... More

This hotel had been recommended to us and we stayed for a very pleasant 3 days in July. We drove from Vienna, which takes about 4 1/2 hours. The hotel is set in a hamlet above the Millstatter See; no view of the lake but very pleasant scenery nevertheless. The hotel prides itself on its relaxing and tranquil atmosphere and... More

The rooms, the service, the food can’t be faulted. The only down side is the location – the hotel is a bit isolated. In the end its location proved to be a good one as we went skiing every day in another skiing area – which was great! The family that runs this hotel are perfect hosts, that fully understand... I cannot recommend this family run hotel highly enough. Perhaps we were lucky in that we stayed at the end of the summer season, just before they closed for a break before starting the winter ski season, so the hotel was very quiet. We were certainly very lucky with the weather (clear skies and beautiful autumnal colours.) However, I think... More
