Chose this accommodation because of it's location close to the sports center and also because they accepted dogs. However they charged 10 e per dog. The hotel reminds me of the good times in 80's when this kind of big hotels where built. The room was ok, clean and spacious. Missed though a freezer because that time it was really hot and would have been good to keep drinks and some snacks in cold. No air condition either. The surroundings were quite shabby, especially if one used the back door with elevator. The breakfast was basic but fresh. The staff, (just one person) was helpful and friendly.

The hotel looks a bit old but my thought was don't judge a book by its cover. The receptionists spoke English which was a relief for someone with no knowledge of the Finnish language. After receiving the keys to my room at the partly newly renovated hotel I was surprised to get a room which turned out to be a double room. I guess they didn't have many guest at the time. The room was renovated but could have been better equipped. Being a foreigner and not having the possibility of using internet I asked for the wifi password that turned out to have problems connecting to an iPhone. Business trips without wifi are not the best. For the food I can't say anything about the dinner choices offered because I didn't eat at their restaurant. The breakfast, however, was ok but one could have arranged the placement of the buffet better and make it less confusing. If you want you can also use the offered saunas at the hotel. All in all the hotel can be used for short-time business trips.

Had a one night trip to Pello and spent my night here. Outside the place doesn't look that great but inside the hotel was really inviting. My room was clean and renovated, I watched some TV and the bed was pretty nice. However the door to the toilet didn't work so I wasn't able to close it. Breakfast was standard, lunch was really good. Location is fine, there are a few shops nearby and a couple places to eat in addition to hotel's own restaurant.

They have renovated rooms on the 3rd floor and the standard room was very cosy and clean. The only problem was the lack of fresh air, it was pretty warm in the room. The hotel is located in the middle of the village and the shop is across the street. There is a restaurant in the hotel but it is not always open. The breakfast was ok. This was my first stay there but I might go again if there is something happening in Pello.

If you really really need to stay overnight on you way to Lappland Pellonhovi is your choice. If you don't need to stop in Pello just keep on going. Very wierd place, strange customers and just terrible breakfast. Rooms were clean and beds good.

Arrived to see a dilapidated hotel frontage with crumbling concrete step entrance. The male receptionist seemed not to care for the welfare of his guests. We asked for dinner and were given Hobson's choice for food microwaved chicken and instant mash. After this delightful repast, we decided to have a beer or two before retiring, we got halfway through the beer and were told at nine thirty on a Saturday night that it was last orders and he was closing the bar so he could work in the nightclub on the ground floor. The hotel room and beds were acceptable. But all the guests left I disgust when they were confronted with locked doors to the breakfast room with absolutely no sign of any staff to prepare anything for the guests. NOT RECOMMENDED. ...

Got a halfhearted welcome from a gentleman who spoke good English. This gentleman turned out to be the receptionist, barman, cook, waiter and dishwasher. We were given the key to our room that had two single beds(what we needed) and very little else. The booking was made for one night bed and breakfast including wifi and breakfast. We were instructed that wifi may not work in the room(which was the case) but may work in the lobby, which it did. Breakfast is between 8 and 10 in the morning but we were not told what day. He advised us that there would be no-one at reception in the morning and to leave our keys in the slot ing the counter on our departure. We went to the bar where he served us drinks and we ordered a meal from the menu. There were no other members of staff on the premises the above mentioned gentleman served us dinner in quite a short time, obvious it har been banged together and fired through the microwave. It was edible and filled a hole. We had finished our meal and table cleared when at 9:30pm we were told the bar was shut( not that we wished for any more) and more or less asked to leave. We had a comfortable nights sleep, the only thing in this hotels favour. In the morning at 8am we joined another 5 guests at reception waiting for the dining room to open. All was quiet, no noise from kitchen, dining room or from anywhere else in the hotel, not even a smell of the breakfast was offered. The othe guests started leaving at 8:30 and we were the last to leave, all without a breakfast. Steer clear unless you're happy to pay for bed and breakfast and go without the breakfast. The worst hotel experience by far we've had all week.

It looks like an american-low-budget-movie-motel and inside looks like that. But it has a nice and great secret: three saunas, one mixed, a pool and a jacuzzi downstairs. Well located, with access to supermarket and liquor store.

Have visited this hotel many times and always have been very thankful about good service and friendly staff. Hotel is cosy, a little bit old fashioned. You should also try Pullinki Ski, downhill skiing center nearby in Sweden.

For 1 night we stayed in this hotel in Pello which does not look very inviting from the outside, however it was quite cosy and a bit old fashioned from the inside. The beds were very comfortable. The room was large with wardrobe, desk,TV and a relatively new bathroom. A buffet style breakfast was included. Two drawbacks, no air conditioning and no refrigerator. Some traffic noise from the road because we had to open the window as the room was very hot. It had been 30C the day before.
