Good place but poor, unprofessional service. Pity they are a long way from the luxury they promise even with the mini pools which are useless (opt rather for a hot tub if you want to pamper your clients) plus the main pool is nithing to write home about.
Very friendly accomodation and service. Nice Suite with a little private pool, beautiful garden, wonderful tropical nature-sound in the night, located at the end of the village of tartane, no traffic.
This place is almost hidden away and we were delighted when we entered the grounds ! Simply gorgeous . Reception is via a video entrance door! Initially I was concerned about parking space but we were soon directed to a large secure car park which was next to our rooms! Our rooms were simply stunning ! I need not say any more as others have said the same. The staff were just so helpful . There was as pre order process for breakfast. The order form had everything we needed and when it came to the quality and presentation of breakfast , it was simply outstanding . We didn’t eat a meal at the hotel as we had ate at lunchtimes! We did a fantastic circular coastal walk which starts about 10 mins form hotel! Just ask the reception staff about the walk via the lighthouse ! You can choose from 3 routes ! We took the middle route! Best coastal walk we have ever done! Route is well signposted ! Take plenty of water! We did take water but not enough ! When we finished there is a lady selling drinks from a van! Think she did ice cream too! Perfect position . The closest beach is just a few hundred yards down the road. However if you walk another 10 mins to the right ! Footpath through woods ! There is s as better beach without rocky coral if you want a swim ! Also a great little beach bar Cocos , not related to hotel but pretty good and very very busy! Book a table if you want to eat…
We spent three nights at Frenco Coco. At the end of our stay we didn't way to leave!!! The property is amazing, the location is peaceful and very convenient to all sightseeing on that side of the island. The suite was gorgeous and well stocked with all the needed amenities. The breakfast on the terrace every morning was absolutely delicious. But the best part of the hotel is the staff - they went above & beyond to help and make sure that our stay was perfect! Thank you!
I spend almost a week at the french coco hotel in Martinique. The hotel is a member of SLH small luxury hotels of the world, and my expectations were fullfilled. The room was contemporary and cosy. My room had a nice balcony with a rocking chair, a perfect place to relax and read a book. Complimentary breakfast was served in tables, with amazing fruid salad and herbal infusion. I also dined at the hotel, and had the best mojito and tuna fish ever. The service was very friendly. Although a but pricey, I totally recommend the hotel.
This is a great little resort. The rooms were amazing and it was the most peaceful area in all of Tartane. The pool and rum set up were great The bathroom was very modern. I loved being surrounded by trees as if we werent just off a main road
Beautiful hotel with amazing service. Good location and very friendly staff. We had a great time at the hotel. We both recommend it during you stay in Martinique. All room as good with or without private pool.
French Coco is a beautiful hotel in Tartane. The rooms are well appointed, we had one with a private plunge pool. The decor is all beautiful and the walkways etc are all well maintained. The service was excellent, Philip and his team really take the time to chat to you. The beach is only a 15 minute walk away, Anse L’Etang, and is one of the best beaches on the island in my opinion. There are two good dining options on the beach too. The toilet amenities are great - we loved the shower wash! The breakfast service is a la carte - the only recommendation would be better bread. Otherwise it was brilliant! We’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a lux stay!
I traveled with my wife and one-year old daughter to Martinique and stayed for six nights in French Coco. Although we were initially worried about the closing of the restaurant, the hotel more than compensated for this with a great service, room, pool, and facilities. The town of Tartane is beautiful and there is almost no need to travel to other areas of Martinique as Tartane, Anse L'Etang and the hotel room will keep you busy. A special thank you to Delphine, the Food and Beverages Manager. When we found out the restaurant closed, she catered to all of our needs - especially to the needs of our baby daughter. She made sure that we had the most options available in the hotel, that everything was ready for us - even a special birthday dinner for my wife -, and everyday recommended us some options to enjoy food in Martinique. She was amazing and we will always be thankful. …
A fabulous resort in a beautiful (garden) setting offering lots of privacy. If you would like to enjoy a relaxing, private, holiday in a secure environment (including car park), this could well be the place to book on Martinique! The accommodation is excellent and this also applies to the level of service provided by staff on site. It did surprise us though that upon arrival we were told that the restaurant was closed. Being one of the strong selling-points of the resort we feel that this should have been communicated to us at the time of booking or as soon as possibly after that. This did not happen and consequently staff felt they had to apologise to us every time. Bearing in mind the aspirations of Hotel French Coco we think management should have stepped up and taken responsibility for explaining this decision to guests (be present, be transparent). Due to this the hotel does absolutely not provide value for money at the moment. Obviously we were pleased that a proper breakfast was still served but the diner-option, in our opinion, did not meet the standard we expected at all (limited choice, prepared by a 3rd party). The fact that the dinner could not be served in the restaurant resulted also in an extra charge of Euro 15,- for bringing it to our room. Although our room did not offer a view on the sea/beach it did meet our expectations with respect to the facilities, which included the luxury of having our own pool. …
