Travelled with Jet2 and arrived after 10 at the hotel. Just myself and my husband so no queue to check in. Was given a small folding handout and told you eat here, you drink there, your room is there... that was about the extent of the intro to the hotel. We had to take ourselves and our cases to our room which was nice and clean. Good thing we are able bodied and able to take ourselves to the room in this 4+/5 star hotel. The room was nice as I said, however we paid for a sea view room, but not so much for the corner that you did indeed see sea water but more of the carpark outside reception. We also struggled on for 2 nights in the rock hard beds until we asked if there was anything that could be done? We were supplied with toppers and it was brilliant after this. Seriously, we have firm mattresses here at home but the hotel beds were punishing. There are so few staff that it has a very real impact on the stay. At best this is a bit of a pain like having to queue for drinks, no guest relations to discuss issues with or book a la cartes with. At worst this is a really risky situation when glasses and tables aren't cleared. This is extremely poor and increases the risk of Covid. The lovely lady at the restaurant doubles as the guest relations - in so far as she takes the bookings for the a la carte Asian and Italian restaurants. This makes it difficult to book these. Whilst taking about that. They have these a la cartes open on alternative nights further halving the availability of these. No wonder they are near impossible to book. We did manage to get booked in to both of them (we put our case to the management at reception!) and they were amazing. Delicious. Served by the most amazing team. It was here we met Koula, a stand out member of staff who is an absolute gem. My advice would be to make her guest relations! She seems to have an instant rapport with guests, listens and is just so great. Other than Koula, Elsa and Elvis were our favourites. They work so hard and have such great attitudes, despite (I can't stress this enough) being beyond short staffed. On to the Jet2 Rep - We arrived on the Monday night and the Rep only visits the hotel on Monday, Friday and Sunday. Yes they have telephone helplines - all UK telephone numbers which presumably cost guests to call when on resort and any attempt to contact through messenger took days for them to respond to. Whilst I have never appreciated the hard sell of trips, the reps meeting on arrival is really useful if you haven't been somewhere before. That is also half the holiday nearly before a rep attends if you arrive on the Monday night and are staying for a week. When we did go to check on the Friday what time the Rep would be there to find she was about to leave. We didn't realise the visit was in the morning and she was quite dismissive asking if there was something she could help us with "quickly"? No, not "quickly" and she was clearly disinterested about to go to one of the 13 hotels she tells us she covers. Plain rude. I'll address this with Jet2 directly and really not the hotel's problem, other than prehaps they could assist guests to contact the Rep? When I did go to them, they scrapped about in a drawer and said they didn't know how to do this, pointing me back to rep boards and the UK telephone numbers. The food throughout was really tasty. Maybe not everything was to our taste but you be be very hard pushed not to find something yummy to eat. It has so much going for it but for the lack of essentially sufficient staffing, it falls short of the mark and we won't return.

Good points : Very clean hotel ,very comfortable beds. Lovely hot showers and balcony.Range of eateries available at lunch time and the quality of food served there. The sugar cube served beautiful ice cream, crepes and toasties , unrestricted all day . Lovely staff at the little kids club . The personality of some staff . Special shout out for Elsa and the bar tender at the beach area . Very nice breakfasts. Bad points : This is Not a 5 star hotel! Tui need to take note of this . There us also the distinct impression that children are tolerated not welcome . Note to other guests if you don’t want to be with children book adults only ! To arrive at 10pm with children and have no options for any access to food at all . Absolutely disgraceful! No access to free water for rooms or restock of soft drinks in minibar. Food in buffet restaurant at night very average and never hot . Hardly any options for young children . Poor staff tried very hard, but are runoff there feet , never got table cleared or a fresh drink without asking ,they must be so exhausted. Resulting in some bring quite Curt at times . Having to queue for drinks , no table service. Inside of hotel felt soulless, very little atmosphere. No facility to eat outside at the buffet restaurant. All closed up no fresh air coming in at all .

Check in very straightforward. Understandably nothing to eat at nearly midnight, but Rainbow Sports Bar opposite was still serving (fantastic gyros). Room, hotel & grounds immaculately clean and tidy, daily maid service. Beds were quite firm! All inclusive bars excellent. Food offering perfectly satisfactory, rather than spectacular. Something for everyone, I’m sure; we never went hungry. Personally I’d have preferred more Greek options. Overhead airplanes didn’t bother us. We only noticed them about 6 times a day, and only for 10 seconds. All staff professional, courteous and friendly. Rhodes Old Town worth a half day visit, €18 there in a cab, 15 mins. There is also a shuttle bus for about €7 return. The beach is very pebbly, we didn’t see anyone in the sea. For info, this part of the island is very breezy!

Very clean. Rooms immaculate. Staff polite and professional. A couple could do with smiling. Food tasty but luke warm. This was very disappointing. Even in the Asian Restaurant it was not served hot. Beach not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Not much atmosphere at nighttime but Rhodes town is just a taxi ride away. You will find a few bars, shops and restaurants appropriately a 20 minute walk away.

What a week me and my boyfriend had at Electra Palace! After reading a few negative reviews I was apprehensive about a few elements of the holiday and wasn’t sure what to expect. However this hotel exceeded both of our expectations! The hotel itself was super clean and the staff were so polite and friendly, especially the bar staff, they made us feel welcome and always engaged in friendly conversations. Our room was kept very clean, with the floors washed and fresh towels everyday. The food was really good, no baked beans at breakfast but that’s my only negative! They had a place called Sugar Cube incase you miss breakfast where you can get waffles, pancakes etc and they do the best ice cream! There is the buffet lunch and dinner but also an Italian and Greek option for lunch which was incredible and an Asian restaurant for dinner for one visit which was also nice. The drinks and alcohol also are a massive plus, the bar list is huge with branded alcohol like Aperol Spritz, Baileys and Pimms! Best hotel for drinks Iv ever stayed in, we would have spent a fortune paying for all the drinks we drunk! There is lots of shops and restaurants a 5 minute walk outside of the hotel if you did want to venture out, it was fairly quiet but I guess October is out of season, I can imagine in the summer it’s busier with more of a atmosphere! The beach is nice, lots of wind surfers to watch, not much sand and is mainly stony but not the end of the world, lots of sunbeds and different places to sit on the beach, decking and around the pool which was really nice. I saw a few reviews about the noise of the aeroplanes going over, with the airport only 15 minutes away, what do people expect?? However the noise or visibility of them did not bother me or my boyfriend at all and I wouldn’t let this put you off booking this amazing hotel! There is nothing negative I can say, however I can’t recommend this hotel enough, I don’t usually go back to hotels twice but I think I would with this one :)
