Aliki Hotel is a small, family-owned hotel in a stunning location overlooking the sea. Our room was very comfortable, with efficient air-conditioning and comfortable bed. Our balcony (side-view of the sea) was shady and cool, and a pleasure to sit on, with a much more expansive view than we expected. The breakfast is good, the swimming-pool inviting, and the level of cleanliness excellent. But what sets this hotel apart from almost all other hotels is the friendliness and helpfulness of all involved. Whether it was help with organising car hire, recommendations of places to visit tailored to individual needs, recommendations of places to eat, etc., nothing was too much trouble. The combination of efficiency and friendliness was just right. For all 10 days of our visit, we felt comfortable and at home.

Brief visit by 3 couples - just one night to assist with change of flights home. Very friendly little hotel (thank you Canadian Christina on reception). Approx 24 rooms. All our rooms were light and spacious with balcony and air conditioning. Comfortable if firm bed. No restaurant (but good option within short walk). Limited breakfast selection but OK. Nice pool although surrounding furniture/loungers will need updating soon. Excellent and very peaceful upstairs terrace with shaded seating and outstanding views. One or two areas of the fabric of the building will warrant some maintenance, but any criticism needs to be viewed against value for money which we thought was tremendous. All too brief a stay and we'd be very happy to revisit and recommend.

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Aliki Hotel in Lefkada. What a lovely hotel the Aliki Hotel is, one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. Dimitri and all his staff were amazing, they were so friendly and helpful! I would definately recommend getting a room with a sea view, as the views are absolutely stunning. The hotel is well situated, just 3 or 4 miles away from the resort of Nidri. Lefkada Town is in the opposite direction and is approximately a 30 minute drive away. We used the local bus service to travel along the east side of the island, which was very good. The bus stop is only a two minute walk away (opposite the sunrise hotel) and the buses run regularly. We used one of the bus timetables provided by the hotel reception which was really helpful! Thank you again to Dimitri and all his staff for making our holiday so enjoyable and thank you for my birthday cake and singing Happy Birthday to me Dimitri!!! Don’t give up the day job 😂😂😂. We would definitely recommend the Aliki Hotel. Thank you

This hotel is a real gem. The staff are amazing, going out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful stay. We were helped straight away with car hire the moment we arrived, all booked in a moment. The hotel is super clean with a lovely varied breakfast and great bar snacks and drinks in the pool area. The rooms are spotless and we had the most amazing view over the sea, the best view we have ever had. Dimitri and his staff should be proud of what they have achieved. Thank you for a fantastic stay xxx

Demitri and his team added a personal touch that we have never experienced before in any other hotel. It's a small hotel, on the main road into Nydri. We only stayed for 3 nights as a short getaway, which was ideal. It's an ideal place to get away and simply relax. From the moment we arrived, we had such a warm welcome from Demitri, who looked after all of the guests throughout their stay and he always seemed to be on hand, no matter the day or time! You can tell that they work so hard during the summer months to make this hotel the success it is. You simply will not get the same level of personal attention in a bigger hotel or resort. The pool was quiet, surrounded by trees and wildlife, with an amazing view of the sea. The breakfast was as expected (some hot items along with continental options) and you can help yourself so have much or as little as you like. The bar snacks are made to order, with drinks and a selection of smoothies available. The greek salad was very nice. If you need any help or advice, Demitri is not too far away and will help give local advice on where to go and what to do. We didn't hire a car, and 'winged it' by flying in not sure how we would get to the Hotel. There is a public bus but it's quite limited for it's times from the airport to Nydri. There is a stop near to the hotel (as indicated by a small bus stop sign) but we never used it. We ended up getting a taxi to the hotel from the airport for 65 euro and took the odd taxi to Nydri for 10 euro each way. It was easier, cheaper and a stress free option for a short stay. Reception can order you a taxi. There is also an app the local taxis use called Taxaki. Taxis are readily available at the taxi rank in Nydri so it's all very easy to get around as long as you factor this cost into the stay. There was a lot of parking available at the hotel if you did choose to rent a car, which is what we would have done if staying any longer. You can also walk to a beach about 30 minutes towards Nydri, there isn't a pavement so it's a bit interesting at times when walking, but it is doable if you are very careful. It's worth visiting if you can (very quiet and not somewhere which is very well publicised). You can park on the side of the road if renting a car. Rooms were clean, air con could be adjusted very easily and ice cold. Bed and pillows fine. No bath, but shower nice. All in all, an outstanding hotel made extra special by the personal service provided by the very small team running the hotel.

We had the most fabulous stay at Hotel Aliki 🇬🇷 Dimitri and his team delivered excellent customer service from the moment we arrived until we left. We had a 9 night stay and loved every minute. The hotel is set above the sea with beautiful veiws acrosd to mainland Greece. The roof terrace is stunning ⛵ Breakfast is delicious, with lots to choose from (cooked, Continental, cereals fruit, Greek Yoghut). The bar snack menu is a little limited, what they have is made fresh and perfect for lunch by the pool 🌞 The pool is clean, fresh, and when we were there never very busy...at least three days we had it completely to ourselves 🏊 Our room was on the third floor with a veiw across the sea, was spotlessly clean with housekeeping visiting every day ⛵ The hotel is on the main coastal road, and aprox 5k from Nidri (lots of restaurants , shops boat trips etc) and 2.5k from Nikiana (fewer restaurants, a bit quieter). Whilst the road isn't busy, there is no path so its not really walkable. There is a bus. We used taxi's .....would recommend a hire car though. There is a fabulous restaurant just 500ms away called Menos...definately worth a visit (we went 3 times) 🐙 Hotel Aliki ticked all our holiday wishlist requirements. Great veiws, friendly staff, cool pool, clean rooms...cold beer, white wine , feta cheese, relaxation and sunshine 🥂🍻 🥰 Oh.....and its only a 30 min transfer from the airport 🇬🇷

This is a fantastic little hotel. Transfer from the airport was just over 30 mins. The rooms are very clean with very comfortable beds and kept immaculately clean. We stayed in a garden view which was great, the sea view rooms would have been better to take in the amazing view but were fully booked, however you still get to see the view from the pool and rooftop terrace. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the bar service was excellent too. We were here for 4 nights but could have easily stayed much longer. We didn’t have a car and managed to walk and use taxis during our stay to get out and about without any problems but would defo have a car if we were to stay longer.

Out of the busy towncentre of Nidri you find this small hotel overlooking the sea. First of all, the staff is amazing. From manager to housekeeping, everybody is so friendly and helpfull. They book cars for you, arange a taxi, provide you with everything needed. You will need some kind of transportation since the nearest town is about 5km away. The rooms are spacious and cleaned (very well) every day. The beds are excellent. Never had a better bed in a hotel before. :-) The overview from the room's balcony is magnificent. Tip; book a room with seaview and you will not be disappointed. The breakfast is what you will expect from a 4 star hotel. Good and well provided with all kinds food. There is a pool with terrace and well stocked bar. You can order a limited variaty of food. The prices are very reasonable. In short. Fantastic place to stay during your visit to Lefkada. Can recommend it to everybody. Joost

Just got back from a fantastic 10 days holiday on Lekkada, the hotel is one of the best we have stayed in when holidaying in Greece. Although we had the garden view rooms, the views from the pool & roof terrace more than made up for it. A big thanks you to all the staff that made our holiday so enjoyable (Dimitri, Hilary, Christina, Grigoris, Chrissa, Giannis & his wife Constantina) all of them were superb in looking after us. Breakfast was plentiful & varied, drinks were great. The nearest taverna to walk is the Minas (450m) for everything else then taxi or car hire. The hotel will arrange car hire at a very reasonable rate. If you want to get to know this beautful island then a car is the best way. Nydri is busy but has plenty of choices, Nikiana is quieter but still have some good places to eat & drink. We will be back!

Had a wonderful 10 night stay at the Aliki on this beautiful island. The team at the hotel could not do enough for you and went out of their way to make sure you stay/holiday was fantastic from start to finish. The hotel has such incredible views from the pool/ bar area to the rooftop. The rooms are spacious and kept spotless. I really can’t recommend this hotel enough you arrive as guests and leave as friends. As other reviews say it is a way from the hustle and bustle of Nydri and Lefkada town but easily reachable by the bus that drops you off nearly outside the door. We walked into Nydri a couple of times in the mornings and although there are very limited pavements it was safe and downhill most of the way taking about an hour, and you can enjoy those incredible views all the way down. Taverna Minas is a 8 minute walk from the hotel and very popular with the locals which says it all!! We had a couple of lovely meals there and the service was excellent. We also loved eating by the sea at the small quiet port of Nikiana which is also on the bus route to Lefkada town. and takes about 10 mins. Do as we use to do most days and stay out all day and eat before returning to the hotel early evening. I also recommend hiring a car which any of the ladies on the front desk will organise for you. Visit the rest of the island and enjoy its beauty. If you stay on the main roads driving is so easy. We went right down to the cape where the lighthouse is and enjoyed a lovely meal at the fishing village of Syvros. There is a nice small beach at Desimi in between Nydri and Syvros Do visit the beaches on the West coast as well. Porto Katsiki is the most famous. I personally was not keen on this beach as it was far to busy and the sea was incredibly rough on the day we went and very dangerous to get in and out of. I am a strong swimmer but struggled. The cliffs are very high there so a lot of steps to climb down and then of course to climb back. The beach is closed off in parts as there are continually parts of the cliff falling down. I found this beach quite claustrophobic. However just to stand at the top and to see the colour of sea and landscape is worth a visit, but don’t pay the 10€ to pay to park if you can help it. Lefkada town worth a visit to have a wander, a meal and to look at the boats. We also was told about a beach near the floating bridge where all the locals go. We loved this beach although pebbly and not many facilities it was great. There is also a cafe in walking distance and right by the bridge so on the hour it closes to allow the boats through and interesting to watch. So after our days out we always looked forward to coming back to the Aliki hotel, to enjoy a drink at the bar before bed time. For us the hotel was perfect and we enjoyed not being in the hustle and bustle of Nydri or Lefkada town. If you want a small hotel with superb views in a peaceful location and that personal touch with people that care you are having a lovely time then this is the hotel for you. Thank you to the Aliki hotel and Lefkada ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
