I've stayed in this Hotel for 2 weeks on August. Pluses: - view from window - nice renowated rooms - they have very nice Garden with small intimite Beach where You can really rest. - view from restaurant - hotel manager was able to switch our rooms so our stay was much pleasent thanks to that. - very good kitchen manager, He was really trying make our brekfast better . - nice coffee during brekfast. - very good restaurant Minuses: - Blond, rude kitchen lady.( She realy made our stay there misereable at the moments) When my wife politly asked for cheease instead od ham for brekfast she put her hand in to my wifes plate and took just like that. not only this is disgusting but where is higine here? Also when She asked for little bit more tomato She told us that tomato costs 2,5 euro per kg and this is imposible. ( Yes, because I rented a hostel for 50 euro, not 3*Hotel for 142 euro per day? How much it will be to get few slices of tomato more, 5 cents? ) Also after getting back to the kitchen She was yelling angry something about us wanting tomato. This was something I have never seen before in any hotel. Of course It change a little bit during our stay in going days but Her comments on our please where alweys hearable from the kitchen. And going further with brekfast topic: Slice of tomato , slice of ham , half slice of cheese, egg/one egg omlet, 2 small slices of melon and watermeelon and some jems and honey on te plate is not really 3*hotel standard isn't it ? - frezer in our room was very load, we couldn't sleep because of it, we had to turn It off - rooms from road side are quite loud in the morning, - it's not hotels foult but neighbors rusters are awfuly loud in the morning . - hotel is quite stricte with there open Beach policies , open until 20. - You can't move sunbeds in to the shadow by some reason? - brekfast is only between 9-10 . I would say that hotel is not really customer oriented, rather stressed stuff oriented place. People are yelling on eachother there everywhere. - our bedsheet was changed once, on last day of our stay. - music on the beach during the day was very nice, but I prefer listening to the sea. So overall, I can live with poor brekfast and roosters but yelling on customers and this stress atmosphere is no go for me!!

Food was fantastic and reasonably priced (9-14€ for a main). Fresh seafood and the veg is grown in their garden...can't get fresher than that. They do lovely fresh small plates too, great to accompany their delicious wine!! It's at the end of the beach so it is almost in its own cove. Free sunloungers on the grass and you pay for the ones on the beach. The rooms are slightly back from the beach and do the job well. I loved having a small fridge with a freezer. Family run and although you can tell they are very busy they are very friendly and stop and chat when they can. Breakfast was simple. Changed every day, sometimes fried egg, omlet or yogurt. But, it came with juice, hot drink, toast and jam and something sweet. I came just before the season so might be different when it's busier. Would definitely recommend to stay or for a day visit!

Have stayed a couple of times at Plaka Beach, it never disappoints. Well situated in Vasillikos, own beach and sunbed areas....free if use those on grassed area, impeccably clean and great staff. Our double room was spacious and well maintained, aircon, toiletries, towels, balcony, safe, and a fridge. Other family stayed in a suite style room which was so nice. Free WiFi, beach service for food and drinks, lots of shade, sandy beach and lovely bay area for swimming. The bar and restaurant areas are good and the bonus free breakfast is simple and plentiful. Ideal for families or those like us wanting a quiet/relaxed holiday...but within easy reach of the busier Banana Beach with its Beach club or St Nickolas Beach with loads of watersports. Restaurants locally are good, we ate in Plaka Beach restaurant a few times and Koukis around the bay. Both with good evening views of sunset and a nice cool breeze to make things more comfortable in hot evenings. The bakery up the hill is well worth the mile walk too. Vasillikos is a lovely area with friendly restaurants, family orientated, lots of peaceful small bays and nice beach areas. Can use local hotel pools too if buy a drink. Prefer it to the bigger resorts with their alot pub/bars etc. Definitely revisit.

An aggressive man questions all who venture towards this beach to denand money before he allows themm to step onto it. He explains this beach is a "business" indeed his business, and claims the right to extract money for sunbeds and rudely to turn away anyone who does not want to use one. This is a shame as other groups have worked hard to preserve turtle nesting sites on this coast and do not see the natural world as a means to personal gain.

We had a lovely stay here last week, and would happily return. The resort is fairly small but has well maintained grounds - free sunbeds on the grass (pay on the beach) and some other seating with tables. The beach is kept very clean and the sea is wonderful - warm and clear and not too deep. There is a bar and a restuarant onsite and the food is very nice. We had a few lunches and dinners. (We also ate at Taverna Familia about 2 mins walk away that did super food - it's pretty but has a road through the middle so not quite the same views, and at Punta Basta which was also nice food. There are also a few other beach bars along the coast or a short walk to St Nicholas Beach but none seemed to open that late compared to here). A few comments on other reviews seem a bit unfair - we moved sunbeds to the shade as did others and that never seemed to cause a problem. You can be in the room between 11:00-15:00 but the cleaner will visit between these hours and you are supposed to leave for the short time they clean not the whole 4 hours! We found the staff friendly and didn't find any issues with them. We also really enjoyed the background music and didn't find it overly loud at all. Wifi was good most of the time, occasional drop outs but only very briefly (I only noticed on one particular online game). Breakfast was good - we always had bread, cheese and ham, butter and jam, tomatoes, juice, tea/coffee and some fresh fruit plus at least one other dish that varied daily - cake or pastries or eggs or greek yoghourt etc. We stayed in the bungalow and the rooms were clean. Nice white sheets and towels. The furniture was simple and we had adequate storgage - we had everything we needed although we didn't really test out the kitchen equipment as we always ate out. We had a bath with shower over which was fine but it would have been nice if the shower holder was higher up the wall so one could stand under it rather than having to hold it. There were a couple of small maintenance issues like the grout and seals round the bath could do with a refresh, and a cracked floor tile in the bedroom, but not a big deal. Overall a lovely relaxing week and would revisit.

The location is very good, the beach is the best part of the Banana Beach, the rooms were pretty clean. We had a triple room, on the ground floor, that had a garden view. We did not like the attitude of the manager at check-in, as well as related to sunbeds. We were not allowed to move the sunbeds 1 meter to be at the shadow. Also, the rules are very strange: you are not allowed to be in the rooms between 11-15, exactly the hours that you actually need to be in the room. The breakfast is between 9-10, also too late in my opinion and it was really very small breakfast for 2 people. So, i will avoid staying here again.

Firstly the positives, the beach is lovely and the room is recently refurbished. The rooms are small, the breakfast you don't have any choice you're just given bread, cheese, ham, jam, piece of fruit and egg if they have them! No regard for allergies... I questioned what they class as a continental breakfast to be abruptly told its listed on their website, it isn't! I then said what was states on Trip Advisor for him to raise his voice and say they are not on trip advisor... guess what Plaka Beach, you are!! I asked if they gave a shower room to use for people with a late flight, I was told to use the beach shower! No thank you!! The rooms are small, the shower isn't ideal for anyone of a fuller figure, I'm a size 12 and had to go in sideways! The sunloungers are only free on the grass in front of the restaurant, not the grass infront of the bar, or the beach. If you walk further up the beach they are free with a purchase of a drink, The Bay Hotel further up has a lovely pool which welcomes all visitors, the same with Vasilikos Hotel next door, which also has a breakfast buffet for all you can eat for €10 each,we did that most days as the breakfast at Plaka was poor. I love the Greek people, they are lovely. Not this family, very rude and arrogant. I would not go back even if you paid me. See attached photo for how small the shower entrance was. Seaview? Usually looking directly from your room out.... no, walk on to the very small balcony look right and you can see the sea.
