Arrived at this hotel on the 15th March for a 3 night stay. Due to the earlier political situation Kenya found itself in the hotel only had 10 guests. Although this was unfortunate for the hotel and others like it I could not help feeling being in a very exclusive hotel. The staff were very friendly giving excellent service. The...

We arrived in kenya the day after we were married and had no idea about the political unrest that was brewing. We had a fantastic week of safari despite our first day being marred Our second (beach) week at the IOBC was truly wonderful, despite having a fifth of the booked guests arrive the hotel kept all the entertainment and...

We just got back from a weeks holiday to the IOBR on the 4th of December and we loved every minute of it. We decided on the Indian Ocean Beach Resort after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not let down. When you arrive at the reception you are given a cold flannel wipe and a fruit...

We stayed here on our honeymoon in September 2007 and had a fantastic time from start to finish. As we had booked this for a honeymoon we were given a small bungalow right by the beach and when the tide was high the waves would splash up onto the path in front of us as we lounged on the sunbeds....

Loved this hotel, it was a real joy to relax after the busy week that i had on safari. This hotel has really friendly staff, great food and fabulous beach - no beach boys trying to sell you things, they are not allowed to, security guards patrol the beach! Beautiful white sandy beach, but would be advised to wear sandals...

We stayed for 4 days and then went on safari and returned for a week. We were greeted with a very welcome cold flannel when we arrived afrer an overnight flight to Nairobi and a connection to Mombasa. The road from Mombasa to the resort is an experience in itself. The rooms are roomy, clean and ours had a queen...

We felt this was an excellent place to come and relax after all the travelling we'd done on safari. The room was very pleasant, well maintained, and the food was very good - I particularly recommend the carvery. One of the beat things about this hotel is that you are right on the beach, and there is no hassle from...

This is a great place to relax after a safari. Don't under estimate the importance of being able to walk on the beach without being hassled by beach boys. These can be a big nuisance even though they are always polite. The guards here ensure you have the freedom of the Indian Ocean to enjoy. Staff are really helpful and...
