We stayed in the upper ground of the place - not on the pool level. a two space house with kithcen. We are a family of 4 and noone had problem sleeping with the arrangements made. Spacious balcony with grate view to the beach of Gialova and the sunset. The pool was enough for our needs, needs a little maintenance..... The surroundings of the property are magnificent, olive trees, flower trees. MUST BE SAID: due to the enormous space of the property, the safety at night is an issue!!!` The last night of our stay our room was broken into and we lost two smartphones from our bedside... Not a matter of value of stolen things BUT A SERIOUS ISSUE OF SAFETY, so keep your windows and doors locked at night hours.
The place and area were really quiet, the villa/bungalow was roomy, clean with a great soft bed, flat screen, very nicely decorated and great balcony to sit all night. The surroundings and the view were stunning. Rooms and especially the bathroom/shower probably needed more light (shower curtain was dark colour not letting much light in). WiFi was not working most of the time. Since the place is very hot a covered parking would have been helpful. Otherwise, the owner was friendly and helpful. We would definately stay there again!
Stunning view, great pool and very helpful owner. But the rooms were dark, the bed had a silly, dangerous shelf round the mattress (too big for the room), there was no plug in the kitchen sink, the plug in the bathroom didn't work, and the loo or shower leaked water. All very Greek but, do you know, it didn't really matter. The studio had all that we needed, was well equipped, and was clean and very convenient for Navarino Bay golf course and for the gorgeous sea front tavernas in Gialova.
If you are looking for a quiet retreat a villa set in the hills surrounded by olive, lemon and orange groves overlooking a stunning bay and wish to sleep in a truly comfortable bed look no further. The host Kostas ensures your stay is right for you and tries to meet your every need. The villas are well fitted the balcony on the higher levels ensure the best views. The beaches nearby are some of the best in Greece. Note you do need your own transport due to location.
Pros: - large appartment - good view - quiet Cons: - unstable, slow wifi - room service every other day & sheets changed after 3 nights - difficult to locate due to lack of signs The place is not bad at all, especially if you have a limited budget. If I went back to Gialova I would try to find a more organised facility with daily room service and better internet connection.
We visited those rooms in end of August. We were on the ground floor of a house and the view was limited because of the very big olive trees. Overall, the room was in a good condition with kitchen facilities and air conditioning. There was a swimming pool, not huge but a good size. It was never too busy and we had a great view from there. The rooms though are not walking distance to either the beach or the restaurants. Potentially, one can walk down (about 20 minutes) but going up is not really option because a) it's uphill and b) it's extremely dark at night time and there is no sort of pavement (so you're risking your life, too!) I must admit that I was given the impression that the rooms were walking distance so I was a bit disappointed that we had to depend on a taxi to return back from the restaurant (unless you're Greek and you do not mind driving after a couple of drinks :)) The owner was very friendly and helpful. Good experience but if I was to go back to Gialova, I'd choose another place to stay.…
This fantastic accommodation is situated on a hill outside Gialova. The apartment we had at the top row was very comfortable with a living room annex kitchen, a bathroom, bedroom and a large terrace. You could sit there for hours in silence just watching the magnificent view over the Bay of Navarino. Cleaning and changing of linen is done every other day. There is a really beautiful pool on site. The owner Kostas is very helpful. He lives near the Silk petrol station. A car is necessary and you will be in a few minutes near shops and restaurants. There is a line of very nice tavernas at the beach of Gialova. There are more beaches in the surroundings, among others spectaculair Voidhokilia beach voted best beach of Greece. We felt sorry to leave Panoramas Gialova and will certainly stay again in case of a future visit to this area.…
