Pros: The lake on the other side of the highway looked beautiful. Cons: Wifi did not work in our Cabin Our cabin by the lake was made of brick : ( The roadway passed in directly in front of our cabin. All who walked by would stare inside. We noticed most other cabins would close the blinds as did we.... More

My husband & I stayed in Cabin#5; the "Hummingbird Cabin". It was nice, spacious and very comfortable. The cabin is fully carpeted, with a mini fridge, coffee/tea station & table with two chairs. Our bathroom had a nice tub, shower & soap. This cabin is also right across from the communal BBQ area; which is a great hang out spot... More

We have discovered Ruby Lake about 6/7 years ago and since then we have been going there few times a year. The resort accommodations are rustic but adequate. You have a choice of cabins (9) some with full kitchens an other option is there safari tents. With the latter you are sharing communal facilities such as showers, bathrooms etc....they also... My husband and I came to Ruby Lake Resort for a much needed couples retreat. We were looking for somewhere quiet and serene, so we could reconnect. We chose to stay in the safari tents and were not disappointed. We arrived on a Sunday so it was very quiet. Our tent was so romantic. We spent the better part of... More

Thank you so much for your lovely review! Sounds like you really got in to the feel of our place and were at one with the serenity, and the natural surroundings... The resort offers a variety of accommodations. We stayed in the safari tents. The restaurant was great. Just stop in and make your reservation in the afternoon. It looks like they can accommodate families and parties fairly well. Allow time to explore the dock and sanctuary in the back yard. Pretty far north but the drive is scenic and doesn't... More

We stayed in one of the Safari tents and it was very comfortable. The tent was large, the bed was comfy and the electric fireplace was a nice touch. A bit of a hike to the washrooms but a very peaceful place. The washrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. The restaurant was so nice. The food was excellent.... More

one tidbit of info everyone should know is that the restaurant does not open until 11:00 a.m. (Once open there are no breakfast/brunch options.) There are no vending machines or a little store to buy essentials. So make sure you either reserve a room with a kitchenette or bring your own drinks, snacks and breakfast stuff. Our room only had... Glad you enjoyed beautiful Ruby Lake (despite your surprise company!!) and your meals in our restaurant. Definitely a good tip for other bookers - if you would like to self-cater, opt for a cottage with a kitchenette. Although a nearby bakery does offer delivered breakfast baskets during the peak season, and we are starting up Sunday brunches as well, best... More

Nice, fresh clean rooms and friendly staff. Our two night stay was restful and peaceful amidst the tranquiity of the resort. After a refreshing swim in the lake, we enjoyed our dinner on the deck of the restaurant. The sunsets are spectacular. In the morning we rented a canoe and paddled to an island for a fabulous swim. Looking forward... More
