Having visited Reddans a number of times & it always being a well run, welcoming hotel, we choose it to be the first place we visited since Covid hit. The procedures they have in place are excellent, staff are very vigilant, all wearing face shields & always cleaning. Huge dining room allows for ample social distancing.
Only negative would be the lack of eating options, only a fixed menu is available, no option of just sandwiches for a snack, and no in room refreshments

+1
Stayed for one night for the Laytown Races, was perfect location for this. We had a family room which was really large with a massive large bed and two singles, could see the sea from the room and everything was nice and clean. Large bathroom with shower and bath and very ornate tiles. The shower was interesting with water jets from the side. Didn't like having the shower curtain as felt a little enclosed, a door would have been better. There were no toiletries, only a shower gel fixed to wall of the shower which made it difficult to use and some soap.
Room had tea/coffee facilities. There is a pub and restaurant onsite and a nice lounge area with TV showing sport. Breakfast was freshly made and really nice.
Location is right on the lovely beach, long stretches of sand and all very clean. Close to supermarket, not too many places to eat, we had food at the races so didn't try out anything close by, the hotel did have a carvery.
We came in from Dublin on the train to Laytown and then walked to hotel. Looked like there was a good bus route to neighbouring towns.

We stayed here in June 2022. We liked the idea of a hotel near the beach. Ask for a Seaview room as the other side faces the main road. Plus points were : great views, large room, plenty of hot water for shower or bath, lift to upper floors, great full breakfast and helpful staff.
Not so good: NO WIFI in the room, despite having two WiFi networks to choose from the only way to get WiFi was to access it from the bar or restaurant, despite breakfast being good the rest of the food offerings were not so great. There is a Chinese restaurant across the street which was Ok and there are plenty of good pubs and restaurants in nearby Drogheda.

Staff are very rude the wait time on food was an hour and 10 minutes. On arrival we had been told no kids but we had no kids? Under no circumstances order the chicken wings as they are a disgrace hard and overcooked. Overall experience was terrible would not recommend eating here.

We enjoy every minute
Staff very helpful,clean room,nice breakfast,great reception.
The waitress on the morning fair play to her I guess understaff was running like a monkey but gracefully and taking time to check each table.
Will recommend and be back very soon

Stayed here for one night while attending Bellewstown Races. Location is right on the beach and is simply stunning.
Staff are very friendly and laid back and our family room was spacious, clean and with a lovely large ensuite.
We didn't eat in the restaurant but saw meals going past and everything looked delicious.
Entertainment on the Saturday night was enjoyable.
Breakfast next morning was good and generous.
Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay here. The rooms were spotless the bed was massive and so comfortable, stunning views from our room. The dinner and breakfast was excellent. All the staff especially the owner, couldn't do enough for us so welcoming and friendly. There was music in the lounge with a brilliant band and a fantastic nights craic was had by all.

Great staff, all very friendly, definitely their biggest asset. The rooms are huge, clean and well equipped etc.
They are a little dated decor wise, but not something I care about.
The breakfast was mediocre, but again staff were amazing tending to our every request.
We had a few drinks in the bar and the entertainment was good. We went to bed at 11.30, but the bar stayed open much longer - we didn't hear a thing in our room. Room 204.

Booked as an end of holiday stop off for a cheap couple of nights before flying home from Dublin.
Have to say the main road in Bettystown when we arrived didn't inspire much confidence looking a little tired to say the least, but in amongst the "in need of a lick of paint and some tlc" was Reddans which has had a lick of paint and what looks like a pretty constant level of tlc.
Room big, and clean with good bathroom and comfy big king size double. Lively bar.
Very pleased and set up for the day with full brekky included.
As an aside the beach is amazing, spotless 5 mile stretch with Reddans pretty much in the middle and a few steps from sand to the front door, twitchers paradise with reserves at both ends and lots of bird activity.
