This is a really nice hotel with great staff. I recommend upgrading to a room with a balcony; the gardens are beautiful and we really enjoyed our balcony. Make time to taste many of their amazing margaritas at the rooftop pool bar. This hotel was built by the Cuervo company and they know how to make some amazing margaritas. It's in a great location. Get some late night tacos on a weekend night from a street vendor in the nearby market.
This hotel was beautiful, clean, and the customer service was fantastic. The 1st day we arrived, we had breakfast at the restaurant and Guadalupe was our waiter. I personally don’t speak much of Spanish but it was nice to know he understood some English. Since we stayed there for almost a wk, we enjoyed eating there as the food and service was great. Guadalupe always remembered me and even if he wasn’t our waiter, he’d always stop by to talk to us, translate for me and get us what we needed. The grounds of this spectacular place is picture worthy. We were there for a friends wedding, and most of the party stayed here, and every single person enjoyed their stay.
The food is exquisite The property, beautiful and one of the most accessibility-friendly I’ve visited in Mexico! I booked this property because of its proximity to Tequila’s City Centre. My grandma uses a walker and I also have a special needs sister. In my reservation I left a note requesting at least one of their most accessible rooms, and all of our rooms ended up being on the ground floor and near the pool! This was enough to make me happy, but their staff went above and beyond. The stay, though brief, was super relaxing! I can’t wait to go back.
I arrived at the hotel and gave the receptionist the number of guest and my information. She took the payment of $700 dollars for 2 nights; when my kids arrived at the the desk the receptionist saw one of my kids and said “ she needs to pay extra” I found her comment completely out of line, why would she say that to a child !!! The receptionist was completely rude to me and my family. After that I told her to cancel my reservation. Unbelievable!!!! I ended up staying at an excellent hotel what offered the service I was paying for.
I booked the hotel direct by phone whilst staying in Puerto Vallarta. Laura took the booking and it was great to meet her when we arrived. She was so helpful for the duration of our stay and we really would come back to this excellent hotel. I took the opportunity to use the valet parking which I do recommend. Our room was on the first floor and had a lovely view. There was a bath and a shower. We had toiletries, a safe, refrigerator and a lovely balcony. We had a massage in the salon on the top floor and it was fabulous. On the first night we used the restaurant which has a very good quality of food and they introduced me to mole. We has breakfast here as well. On subsequent days I chose to explore other places to eat in Tequila because I wanted to try Mexican food in different places. We would return here. All of the staff are so helpful and welcoming especially Laura.…
The food and cocktails were interesting and delicious, our servers (Lupe and Jorge) provided amazing service, and the space was very pretty and open.good option for a nice dinner (with or without kids) in Tequila.
Just spent two nights in this hotel. I have spent up to 200 nights a year in a hotel, at times in my life,, so I have had some experience. We were in this hotel back in November and like it so much we came back. Juan on the front desk made this trip fantastic for us. We had a tour booked and they were jerking us around and he fixed it for us. We got our tour and it completed our trip. The restaurant in this hotel is rated number one in Tequila and we have to agree. Great menu for breakfast and dinner and the food and service was first class.
I have nothing but complements for the hotel, it’s management and employees. Very professional. We arrived 4am in the morning after flight delays into Guadalajara. Management made a room available to us shortly thereafter. Our room was spacious, elegant and well appointed. The grounds were well maintained and beautiful. Food and service in the restaurant was superb and employees went out of their way to make us comfortable. I would recommend Solar de las Animas to anyone! I also look forward to returning sometime. Top notch.o
This trip was 3 yrs in the making, as a Tequila collector, going to the origin of this great spirit was a requirement, after a lengthy search, I made reservations at Hotel Solar De Las Animas. Within a couple weeks of my trip I was notified by the Hotel on any requests I may have prior to my arrival along with ideas on tours and events. As a first time visitor to Tequila this was very welcoming. Upon my arrival the 1 hr and 20 minute ride from the Guadalajara airport was very relaxing and beautiful, as you journey out to the countryside you then begin to see the fields of blue agave appear. My hotel arrival was very easy and informative, it was apparent the staff was there for their guests. I was escorted to my room and was given details of the area and the room itself. The room was perfect, very large, clean and inviting. I spent 6 nights here and had the opportunity to experience the on-site restaurant for breakfast and dinners, Wow, amazing food! The Pulpo ceviche was amazing, the chiliquiles for breakfast is a must. My days were spent touring Distilleries which I set up through the hotel concierge, and walking the streets of the town. The Hotel is positioned in the perfect location to experience the culture of this town. Directly next to the main square I found myself becoming a Connoisseur of the local drink called Palomas!! In the evenings I found myself at the Sky Bar which is the Hotels bar on the 4th floor. What a great staff they have, very friendly, knowledgeable and provided great service. The Sky bar for me was a great place to relax talk with the staff about the town and meet some interesting people. In regards to the language, I’m not fluent in Spanish but I tried and the local residents really appreciated that, I had no problems overall but did discover that the more you drink the better your Spanish gets😀. The Hotel Solar De Las Animas is the perfect hotel for this destination and with their attention to the guest I will definitely return very soon, and when I do, I hope to find Edson, Andrea and the rest of the staff I made a connection with who made my trip wonderful.…
Beautiful hotel with very friendly and thoughtful staff. Would absolutely stay again. The restaurant was also great with a wonderful staff. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to the plaza, church, museum, and distillery.
