We spent 4 nights in total at this very comfortable Chambre d'Hotes in Guillestre. Room was large , very clean , nicely furnished and had a lovely view of the surrounding mountains. WE had room no. one which had a small balcony. All rooms looked equally pleasant. A large sitting/breakfast room was a real bonus . Emma was a very... More

We spent a week with Emma at Le Chateau for our third visit and it still delights. Clean, comfortable and friendly, it will well placed for a stroll into town to watch the world go by from the bar, and some varied and well priced eating out. The views on all sides are spectacular and 2 of the rooms share... More

I cannot recommend Le Chateau highly enough. Myself and my partner and two of our friends stayed with Emma for four nights to cycle in the area in July. We stayed in Room 1, which was spacious, light and clean with beautiful views out to the mountains. Clean en-suite bathroom and shower. Our friends stayed in Room 3, which was... More

This was our second visit to Le Chateau and it will not be our last. We have been visiting Guillestre for many years and find it a perfect base for summer alpine walking and canoeing. The house is within 2 min walk of the working village centre which has enough bars, shops and restaurants for week's stay and has access... More

During a cycling tour of the Alps, I stayed at Le Chateau for two nights. It is an amazing place to stay. The bedroom I was in was a great size and the en suite seemed brand new and was spotless. French windows opened out to an amazing view down the valley. I had access to a large private day... More

We have just come back from a ski trip and stayed with 'The Ingles' in their fabulous house. Every day we visited a different ski field all within about 40mins. It was great to have a new adventure every day and Phil has excellent knowledge about all the fields and what they have to offer for different abilities. We really... More

I know the owners so cannot pretend to be a total stranger. The rooms are huge, comfortable and spotless with lovely en suite and wonderful views. Other guests also appreciated the freedom to use the garden all day and the market in Guillestre provided delicious picnics. The lounge and dining area is very user friendly and there is plenty of... After years of riding in the same spots in the Alpes (mainly the Portes du Soleil) what a find! Some of the best cross-country riding we've ever done (thanks to Phil's local knowledge and GPS assisted trail finding) and plenty to do besides (climbing, hiking, via ferrata, etc). Phil and Emma were the perfect hosts and we'll be back next... More

An amazing building with a great feeling of history about it. Phil & Emma were very welcoming and the food was wonderful. Their knowledge of the area, and obvious passion for the outdoors made out stay there even better with great top tips as to where to go and what to do! Highly recommend it!!

We spent a great few days there on our way back to the UK from Italy. The accomodation was spacious and comfortable and ours hosts, Phil and Emma looked after us really well. The house is set against a stunning mountain backdrop and we explored a little of the area with Phil on Mountain Bikes. The trails were great fun... More
