Stayed here for one week in a 2-3 persons cabin, 810. Lovely memories of this trip. We saw the Northern light 3 times. Staff at reception desk, restaurant, cleaning and guides are friendly and helpful. Meals were good, buffet style, no complaints except for the drink prices...8-9 € for a beer and starting from 35€ for a bottle of wine. We had an "all in excursion program" which was perfect organised and very good performed ! Great and safe assistance from the guides. Must say that it was the second time that we did the same type of excursions but this was in another place and the ones who are available here at Jeris were, (except for the icehotel which was a huge disappointment compared with the one we saw in Levi), were longer and better. The thermal suite and other accessories which are provided are very good and clean ! Please note that the 4-6 person chalets are quite a hike uphill from the reception/restaurant, can only recommend these when you have a car ! Can highly recommend this resort and we would surely like to come back again. …

This hotel is simply brilliant. It has no airs or graces cos it does need anything. The jerisranta cabins are lovely and plenty of room with a changing entrance clothes dryer lounge / kitchet. You even have your own little sauna. The facilities at the hotel are just what you need unless you want down hill skiing. Snowshoes to cross country skiing to snowmobiles. We came with Regency travel and bought a ultimate Lapland experience which had everything we wanted. The hotel is full board and the food is lovely and plentiful. All the staff are lovely and friendly nothing is too much. I would defiantly recommend it no questions. If you are looking for night life and parties maybe go else where. If you are looking for price and quite and a real slice of Finland this is the place. At night you can venture out on to the lake and hope to see the north lights. The thermal clothes they give you are excellent quality and really do the job over your own warm clothes. ( boots, all in one, socks and balaclava, mittens with wool liners). They also do a good line in real ales. Negatives really only that drink is pricey, but that is Finland all over, we brought some with us to have in the cabin and no real lounge area in the hotel but there is a bar and you can us the restaurant area which over looks the lake. Also recommend you use the sauna world which is in the hotel grounds great place to watch the sunsets, get a massage and enjoy the 4 types of sauna.…

You have travelled litterally in to middle of no where and staying in a cabin. Could be lovely. Instead of feeling welcome you are not alloved to dine at hotel restaurant??? At very same establisnent... No service but almost rude behavior from staff. Never again! Lapland is wonderful this place is not. :(

Hotel Jeris and its cottages are a nice place to accommodate during your hiking tours on the nearby fells in the Pallas - Ylläs national park. The service was very good and kind, the cottage was very suitable for two adults, clean and with good equipment. In the Restaurant Jierra by the lake the service was also good and kind. The waitress took care of customers in the restaurant, in the Arctic Sauna World and also worked as receptionist for the Hotel Jeris and cottages. The food in the Restaurant Jierra was still quite much a disappointment. The trout that we eat and the beetroot with it were not well-done. The young cook needs a little more experience with them.

Nice hotel, clean rooms. Good location. The hotel reception is only open in the morning. Room keys were obtained from a nearby restaurant. At breakfast, porridge in particular was especially good. You could come here again.

I have commented on the freefall of this premise before but there are limits. This time time nature friendly snowmobiles were formed into a line across the ski track that (for warm up to give the air quality some exhaust boost in climate friendly spirit). I approached the French speaking guide to indicate that people also ski down the hill and would prefer not to hit the convoy. He stated that it is only for some minutes. I found this an outrightly arrogant answer and took a photo of the ¨formation with my phone camera. So this tourist aide steps on my skies, stands there and requires that I delete the photo. This I don't do but have to depart with the wish that these travel professionals showed some respect and understanding of this tradition that we have in this country, skiing in the tracks. It is hard if you also organise nature outings in the woods, and consider walking in the ski tracks in the woods as the only paths to follow.. This is a way to undo the hard work of maintaining the ski tracks, but then you may not care of what original Lapland traditions once were. We have plenty of space here in Lapland and it is unfortunate that the snowmobiles and randonnees have to crowd the ski tracks of long tradition. I can only imagine what reactions would have emerged if someone had brought skimobiles or 4X4 vehicles into the tracks where I bicycled or jogged when I lived in Versailles. Let's see, if Finnish customers will be appreciated once again. We have been invited to rescue the industry in The Corona era. It will call for a major overhaul of the service attitude viz us but equally instructing other visitors on basic issues such as the existence and essential function of ski tracks in traditional Lapland winter travel. Something that Jeris personnel has not been too interested in after the acquisition by Harriniva.…

We stayed one week nearby at the cottage. We skied and slalomed in Levi, Olos and Pallas. Visited in hotel Jeris and the Pub Piilopaikka. Pub gave us very good drinks and excellent service. We will visit definetily again. Thanks!

We did the Best of Northern Lights tour, based at Jeris but also with excursions at Toriassepi and Harriniva. They organize everything and they went beyond the call of duty to accommodate my food allergy. I would recommend this hotel and this tour to anyone, it was absolutely amazing! Lapland is like a fairy-tale in winter!

We stay overnight in a fantastic little wooden cottage. It was cozy, warm and practical. we had a night ride with a ski-do and we got unbelivable northern light. Breakfast was good and all together the experience was memorable.

Just back from an amazing week at Harriniva's Hotel Jeris. HOTEL:- Friendly and helpful staff (nothings an issue). Room and communal areas immaculately clean, superb food - we were Fullboard, great surroundings, nicely designed decor (we know it had a refurb last year). Theres an equipment onsite to hire to go for an explore in the National parks and Fells at your own pace. SPA:- Very well designed and laid out, clean and quiet surroundings, relaxed music with no pretence, no heated pool in the new layout - I have yet to embrace the outdoor lake but many did to get the whole experience. HARRINIVA activities:- Well, what can I say - we chose the Hightlights package and weren't disapointed. We were teamed up into a small group with people from Belgium and France. Our guide was Toini - a strong yet shy Finnish lady with fantastic knowledge of the activities and the nature around us, clear tuition of the gear we were using and wonderful calming presence. She knew her stuff and made sure everyone got the best out of each activity. Our physical abilities were very mixed so I think that she really showed her experience by keeping us all together on the faster more physical activities. To be honest I think if we did go back again for maybe the Summer activity program I would be requesting to have her as our guide as this really made a difference to our whole holiday - well done Toini thank you (if Harriniva.fi are reading this). Activities:- Skidoo's (snow mobile), cross country skiing, snow shoeing, husky ride experience, reindeer ride, northern lights experience with bonfire, Finnish food & culture, ice fishing. You are all provided with head to toe of warm snow gear - it makes the experience even better when you're warm and dry! AIRPORT TRANSFER:- No issues atall - snowy roads don't stop the Finnish! Hotel Jeris (one of the 4 hotels in the Harriniva group) is about 50 minutes in a minibus. Its not cheap but well worth saving up for and forgoing another new expensive iPhone and getting back to nature!!!…
