Just back from an unforgettable week's holiday at Harriniva with my sister, faultlessly arranged & organised to perfection by Artisan Travel. Stayed in a cabin set in 'Narnia' beside a frozen river. Tried our hand at husky sledding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing in the National Park of Pallas, Arctic spa, reindeer aurora (night trip) & the amazing experience of the hot tub in -33 which made us feel like we were in a snow globe! Staff & guides were wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable and always interested. I could not recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be going back......with Artisan Travel!

No matter what words I write here they'll not even come close to describing what a magical, fantastic, out of this world experience we had while staying here. Let me just start by saying that Finnish Lapland has to be one of the most stunning places on earth, absolutely beautiful, thick white powdery snow that reflects the light of the low sun in the sky in colours and shades that have to be seen to be believed. Thick forest that goes on forever, frozen lakes and rivers, quite simply beautiful. We stayed in a river side cabin which was delightful, two single beds downstairs and then a further two upstairs on a mezzanine level. A reasonable size living area that included a small kitchen. The kitchen was well kitted out with induction hob, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and

As a diverse group of eleven which varied in age range and abilities we all had a wonderful time. We spent one night in the snow igloo at Torassieppi. While certainly an experience we probably would not participate in this again as the sleeping bags were rather constrictive for those of us with a fuller figure. We then spent 5 nights in cabins at Harriniva. These cabins were everything we needed including a sauna. They were right on the riverside and we had fantastic views of the aurora when it made it's appearance (which we saw three times in the week we stayed). In honesty we didn't spend much time in the cabins and did no cooking so cannot comment on the usefulness of the kitchen. The last night was spent in an aurora dome at Jeris. These had a log burner and heater although

We recently stayed at Harriniva for four out of our five day Winter Safari Experience. Coming from Australia and not being skiiers we were quite in awe of the beauty that is evident in a landscape covered in snow. The forests within the National Park were just post card perfect. The staff at Harriniva were lovely, efficient and able to deal with all enquiries. Heidi working in the dining/bar area was just gorgeous. The meals offered were plentiful and tasty with two options for the main meal at dinner time. Alcohol was available at reasonable prices, however, we were disappointed that we never got to experience the coveted Best Gin in the World cocktail that every Finn we ran into raved about but seemingly was never available - maybe they are keeping it for themselves? It
