Holiday Village Valle is family owned small hotel in the most remote and peaceful area of Finland – Utsjoki! We offer high quality accommodations, food and activities, with out big industrial tourism. Our roots are strongly in the area and in the indigenous Sámi culture. We stand in the northern most point of Finland, surrounded by great wilderness, just 80km away from the arctic ocean! Utsjoki is one of the best places in lapland to see the aurora borealis, the northern lights, because of the extreme northern location. Statistically there is northern lights in 3 of 4 nights! Welcome to experience the pristine arctic scenery and the vast quietness of Utsjoki!

Wonderful Utsjoki is such a cute place to visit in winter! The local food shop has EVERYTHING you could possibly need (btw, the lactose-free products are on fleek in Finland, also lots of vegan options), you can take a ski tour, run along the Tana river on the Finnish side, whilst looking over at the Norwegian side, and enjoy their great hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner! There's even a fridge in the room so you could store hiking snacks or whatever you need ;) AND THE WIFI IS GREAT ALL OVER THE PLACE! WHAT ELSE IS THERE? <3 The staff is incredibly kind and helpful and I just wish all the best for these people <3 Thanks a lot for a super cozy stay ^-^

We were on a snowmobile tour and found the holiday village very good, the cabin was well equipped, good sauna, the restaurant next door was great for an evening meal and breakfast, and I am sure the view overlooking the river when it's not frozen would be great.

Very tranquil and picturesque place. Very friendly, helpful and considerate staff. My first point of contact was Henry. He is very helpful and so was their trainee Satu. Would love to go back in Summer. Lovely cabins dotted along Teno river. It was nice, clean and comfortable. Thanks to great bunch of staff that made our stay memorable, especial thank you goes out to Henry.

We joined in on three activities, ice fishing, Northern lights by the Fell and searching for Nirthern lights with reindeer. We were lucky on second attempt to see the aurora. It's best you time it for a moonless night but there is no fursntee you will see it. On the first night there was thick cloud cover but we could see very strong aurora moving above the clouds. Even the snow was lit up. Wood cabins are excellent. As some one else mentioned,10 Logi is the last and in an ideal position. Teno river below was frozen at the time we were there. Wonderful experience in subzero temperatures.

One of the most beautiful places I´ve seen in my life. The hotel was wonderful, the people who atended us were friendly and helpful. It was like being inside a postcard. I would go back there happily.

Holiday Village Valle has great package deals that include room, meals, and activities. We did the Slow Down Utsjoki package which included guided snow showing, a 20k sled dog ride, a sleigh ride pulled by reindeer, a trip into town to look around and use of the snow shoes, cross country skis, and kick sleds during free time. We also added 3 optional night time activities which were worth the money since our main goal in going there was to see the aurora borealis. We saw the aurora 2 of the 5 nights we stayed in Utsjoki. Henry was the guide we interacted with most, but everyone we dealt with there was helpful and informative. Food at the restaurant was great. Breakfast and lunch we're served buffet style and dinner was served plated. There were also snacks included with…

We stayed 4 nights in the newly built hotel of Holiday Village Valle (one with more people may choose the cabins). The hotel is very comfortable and clean with excellent facilities, mini bar is provided inside the room. Northern light can be seen in Holiday Village Valle clearly as light pollution there is minimal. Wifi connection is great everywhere, no worries. The hotel is located some 2km from Utsjoki village centre, suggest those who don't drive to arrange pick up service in advance. [again we were very lucky to meet a nice local lady and helpful hotel manager Henry to give us free ride, million thanks to them =)] Breakfast is fine with plenty of choices like vegetables, fruit and bread (one comment: not much hot food, just oatmeal and bacon, is it Scandinavian style? I…

Holiday Village Valle is the perfect holiday resort to go to if you are looking for a complete winter experience. From winter sports to catching the aurora borealis, or simply enjoying the closeness to the quiet tranquil nature, you can get to experience it here. Run by an excellent family team compromising of Henry, Erik, Anne and supported by others like Henri and Aramis, the entire crew made sure we were in good hands from the moment we arrived till our departure. The holiday village is located strategically next to the River Teno, which was nice and frozen and provided the perfect spot for our winter skiing activities. We stayed in a newly built hotel (first guests!!) which was well equipped with all the modern facilities and had a perfect view of River Teno. Families…

This trip was on my Bucket list. Absolutely nothing to fault here except perhaps next time I would be looking to travel from Manchester to Ivalo (the travel from Heathrow to Helsinki to Ivalo was slightly too long). Met a great set of people. Staff were enthusiastic, kind and always helpful. You can tell that they were proud of their heritage and keen to share it with us. The restaurant served excellent local cuisine. One of meals was served in a traditional Sami tent and cooked over a fire. We had done a number of scheduled activities: husky and reindeer safaris, cross country skiing and a visit to the historical sites. On our free time we hiked the hills on snowshoes, sledded into town (a good distance away) took pictures of the Sami bridge separating Norway and Finland. The…
