Holiday Village Valle is family owned small hotel in the most remote and peaceful area of Finland – Utsjoki! We offer high quality accommodations, food and activities, with out big industrial tourism. Our roots are strongly in the area and in the indigenous Sámi culture. We stand in the northern most point of Finland, surrounded by great wilderness, just 80km away from the arctic ocean! Utsjoki is one of the best places in lapland to see the aurora borealis, the northern lights, because of the extreme northern location. Statistically there is northern lights in 3 of 4 nights! Welcome to experience the pristine arctic scenery and the vast quietness of Utsjoki!

We spent the last week in February 2019 in this wonderful hotel. Starting from the arrival at the airport we had a fantastic time in Lapland. The hotel arranged the transfer from the airport, which worked without any problems or delays. We had a booked a nice, modern and charming room in the hotel. Everything was very clean, the food was fantastic and also the hospitality. It is a nice, quiet and beautiful area, which helps a lot to slow down and relax. We have been extremly lucky to see fantastic Northern lights during 2 nights. In addition we had wonderful activities like a tour to the northern ocean, a husky tour, hiking with snow shoes etc. All activities have been perfectly organised from the hotel and here also a special Thanks to our guides, Antti, Henna & Anne. All of…

This is a magical place in northern Finland, remote, quiet and beautiful but also warm, cosy and welcoming This is the fifth time we have travelled to Northern Europe for a winter break and it was definitely the best. It is a family owned hotel where guests are made to feel very welcome and the standard of hospitality is high. The rooms are large, stylish and comfortable with fabulous views across the river to the Norwegian fells. Unusually for mainland Europe, each room has a kettle with tea and coffee making facilities and a refrigerator. The bathroom is large with an excellent shower The meals in the restaurant are of a high standard with a large choice and very large servings! The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly Guests are provided with warm outdoor…

Everything at Holiday Village Valle was wunderful! The Hotel was very clean and charming, we also could see Northern Lights from our hotel room and enjoyed the sauna several times. We enjoyed the program so much- we had such wonderful, amazing and unique moments, which we will never forget! The food at the Restaurant Deatnu was very very delicious, also special wishes were no problem, even a complete raw food diet were fulfilled in a perfect way that we never saw in any other hotel. The kitchen created wunderful meals with love. The service and the guides were also very nice and helped in every situation. All in all it was perfect.

We took the Northern Lights package with Holiday Village Valle in mid Dec 2018. Still a quiet season before Christmas, we almost have the whole place to ourselves. We stayed four nights in a cabin for our family of four. The cabin is very well maintained, I would say, tip top condition. Sufficient hot water, nicely adjusted heaters in the rooms, well equipped kitchen, a sauna and a lovely front porch facing the Teno River. We never felt cold in any way during our stay in the cabin. There is also a nice huge dryer in the walkway to our cabin to dry up our thermal accessories quickly, which is great. The only thing we lamented is short daylight hours to enjoy the magnificent view from our front porch as we were out during most of our daylight hours for our activities! Hours with…

We spent one night + had dinner at Valle and really enjoyed our stay. We stayed at the hotel building in a lovely, modern room with views towards Norway and river Teno. We had an amazing dinner (the Teno sashimi is to die for) and really enjoyed both the food and the hospitality and attitude of the staff. It was also fun to sit outside and enjoy a drink, watching the fishermen and listening to their stories. The small herd of reindeer sleeping under the hotel rooms' windows was an added bonus. Highly recommend this place!

Went to see them but discovered so much more. If you are an artist, go and be inspired. If you like excitement a husky sleigh ride is a must! Loved learning about Sami culture and the meal on our last evening was very special. Our hosts were informed and very aware of our safety. The accommodation was just right as were my fellow travellers. Only observation would be to try and find a way to prevent the outside lighting (compulsory) seeping into the bedrooms through the glass panel doors. My machine would not let me apply rating? Everything was just right!

Having failed in our attempt to seek out the Northern lights earlier in 2017 in Nellim, we decided to go venture even further north to Utsjoki and ended up at the Holiday Village Valle over the Christmas week. And what an excellent decision it turned out to be! The Aurora Borealis greeted us four nights out of the seven nights that we spent in Holiday Village Valle with the best display on Christmas Eve over the Holiday Village itself. As for the Holiday Village... the Holiday Village comprises log cabins, a newly built hotel and a restaurant. We stayed in the hotel. The rooms were warm (it was -30 degrees outside on some days) and comfortable with TV (albeit with limited channels but we did not watch much TV), fridge, hairdryer, kettle, tea and coffee making facilities,…

We went to holiday village valle over Christmas in the hope of seeing the northern lights. What we got was so much more. There were plenty of activities, and our hosts, owner Henry, and guide Danny were so knowledgeable and skillful, that they made our holiday even more amazing. The accommodation was warm and comfortable, and we also had great food. All of the staff were so helpful, they couldn't have done any more for us. We also did see the northern lights, but that was a bonus because everything else was so good. The equipment they provided us with ensured that we were warm enough with all the outdoor events. We managed to unwind and forget about our normal lives whilst we were there, and I would love to return to this fantastic place.

We have been there last December for 3 days also last week ( September) we came back again. The property offers some cabins also some rooms in other building not far from cabins just beside Teno (Tana) river. We stayed in cabins. These wooden cabins are clean , warm , have 2 rooms and a living room with a small kitchen, it was warm during December.Four beds and furnitured living room with a dining table. Each cabin have a Bathroom with a shower and toilet, also a sauna. We had enough kitchennette and oven and fridge to save & prepare foods. Also a fireplace which in winter they provide enough wood and it was one of our hubby to light it on. Car park in just beside our room. A terrace just few meters from Teno river. Wifi was good. We never been in hotel rooms, but…

We did not stay here but we did take part in a Sami Event/Dinner organized there. Henry Valle was our host and it was really a nice experience, to hear all the stories about the Sami people and eat the typical Sami food (the mushroom soup was excellent!). Henry even sang for us <3
