The cottage is tidy and cozy and very close to Teno river. The view is fantastic. It is a really peaceful view and the river is different every day. It is nice to watch it changing every day. We warmly recommend these cottages.

We were there for Midsummer and we were a bit suprise for the level of services we got, rather poor. It´s clear that the place during winter is full of people, with plenty of activities to do and organised. In the summer, that was not the case. We had a B&B accomodation for 3 nights, and we had to litterally beg the breakfast... No one to ask for recomendations on what to do, or activities organised, as the girl at the restaurannt was not helpful at all (when she was there). Probably we arrived in the middle of their holidays, but again if you have a place like this a minimum of organisation is requested. then eventually having the coffee surrounded by rendeers is very nice, but you need to get the coffe!

So warm welcome, so warm stay... small but very modern hotel by the mighty Teno -river. Even Fishing is now prohibited this year, there was plenty of things to do. The Deatnu -restaurant offered so tasty gourmet from Lapland, that will never vanish... Strong recommendation!

Great location at Teno river with great views to the fells across the river in Norway. New, clean, fairly big rooms, with big bathrooms. All rooms have big windows and great views to the river. Good quality restaurant, with also nice views and a big terrace (for alfresco dining on warm sunny days). Food is fresh - try out the local salmon if on the menu (fished by the owner from Teno). The owners can organize different day trips / outings. Take a boat ride on Teno, rent canoes or fat bikes. They also have guides, who can accompany you if you don't want to go to the river or fells by yourself. Ask also for a guided tour to Sallivaara, the reindeer herding village about 10 km south of Utsjoki centre. To experience Utsjoki, watch our video on Youtube: Susa and Masa around the world

Lapland theme with class and style sums this place up pretty well. And of course the picturesque views from the room and restaurant were the icing on the cake. I’m pretty sure this is the nicest place for many many kilometers. We stayed in the small 12 room hotel, which was comfortable, clean, pretty and modern. The place also has cabins, but I don’t know what they are like. Breakfast was simple but good and dinner was very nice. I would stay and eat here again.

Remote but worth the trip. Scenery is spectacular. Accommodations excellent in true Finnish style: comfortable, modern and unencumbered. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. The food was excellent. There was lots to do. We had a lot to do. It was a very welcome change of scenery. Would do it again. Do bring warm clothes in the winter!

We have spent our new year vacation here with my friend. It was our first trevel to Finnland and I must say it is the best choice to go to Utsjoki Holliday Village. The transfer from airport was on time and last apprx. 3,5 hours. The hotel owners have met us themselves with a glass of sect and have gave us all information that we needed to have about our aktivities during the week. We have lived in a cabin (house) with our own sauna, fireplace, two bedrooms and a kitchen corner. The only thing that was uncomfortable is that they have no double beds, but it was possible to put two separate beds together. The territory consist of the restaurant were we have always had our meals, hotel building, separate cabins (houses) and a small building with all necessary equipment. The nature around is very beautiful and inspirative. There is a salmon river direkt on the territory, you can have a walk along it. The place is very silent at all, only forest with rendeer farm is not far away and also a small village with supermarket and church 5 km from there. We have got 2 guides who provided us with all equipment we need and information, also they were together with us during some activities. The food in the resraurant is on a good level, every day there have different menus, it was nice to have a tasty salmon there and rendeer meat. The Holiday Village has a family concept, you can feel it already on the first day. The owners spend time with guests with pleasure and tell very interesting stories about their culture and region. There are pretty enough possible activities you can book for every day, the best ones for us were the husky tour and reindeer safari. The dinner in a hut was also very cozy.…

As a group of 3, we stayed in one of the 2 bedroom cabins down on the river for 3 nights in late September. It was so cute! In addition to the 2 bedrooms, each with 2 twin beds, you've got a nice bathroom, private sauna, spacious living room area, kitchenette and a table with bench seats. We had stopped at a grocery on our way so we had breakfasts in our cabin while enjoying our view of the river and all the fall colors. Your choices for eating out are limited but the Deatnu Restaurant, on premises, is a great option. It was too cold to enjoy the deck but the restaurant is lined with huge windows to enjoy the scenery from the warmth. We did not take advantage of any of the activities, but they did look interesting. We hiked along the river and just relaxed. Having a sauna right in the cabin felt very luxurious! It was very cloudy while we were there, so we only saw the northern lights one night. It was very magical to sit on the porch of our cabin and watch such a special natural phenomenon. We had a great visit in Village Valle, a hotel next to the Norwegian border! Highlight of the visit was the amazing scenery of River Teno and the hills on the opposite side. We had a relaxing experience in the really cool ”barrel sauna” which offered a nice view to the river through the transparent back wall. Nothing more nicer than watching the boats go by while having a sauna and dipping into the refreshing water of River Teno between ”löylys”. Also, the restaurant was great quality and we enjoyed a nice dinner and breakfast. Rooms are super clean and modern. Also service is very good and friendly. Highly recommended!
