Fabulous place! Room was quite small. The staff is very friendly and food is local & delicious! Don’t miss the sunset here! Not necessary for small children because of the open steps and lack of proper rail on them

Eigentlich hatte ich eine Unterkunft auf Saaremaa gesucht und bin per Zufall auf das Bottengarn gestossen. Was für ein Glück! Dieses Boutique Guesthouse war die perfekte Wahl für mich und meine Familie. Es liegt direkt am Meer in einem authentischen kleinen Hafen in einer umgebauten Lagerhalle. Der Umbau ist sehr gelungen und hat ein Gästehaus in stylischem Design gezaubert. Die fünf Zimmer befinden sich alle im oberen Stock. Vom Dachfenster hat man eine wunderbare Aussicht. Das Erdgeschoss ist ein riesiger gemütlicher Gemeinschaftsraum mit Tischen, Sofas und Büchern. Hier wird auch das feine Frühstück serviert, mit direktem Blick auf das Meer. Die Besitzerfamilie ist sehr freundlich und gibt gerne gute Tipps für die Umgebung. Nicht verpassen darf man das Restaurant nebenan. Es gehört den gleichen Besitzern und man isst wirklich sehr fein. Ich hoffe, wir können irgendwann einmal wieder ins Bottengarn zurück kehren. Es ist ein wunderbarer Platz, um die Ruhe und Natur zu geniessen und den Alltag hinter sich zu lassen. Den einzigen Verbesserungswunsch, den ich fürs Bottengarn habe, ist die Reinigung des Zimmers. Das würde ich mir täglich wünschen.…

Ein wenig abgeschieden liegendes Gästehaus aber von einer außerordentlichen Gemütlichkeit .Mich erinnert die Location an kleine Küstenorte in Kroatien vor 30 , 40 Jahre. Einige einfache schmucklose Häuser in der Umgebung , das Gästehaus aber in klassischem Skandinavischen Design - klare Linien aber absolut zum relaxen geeignet , charmante unaufdringliche sympathische Gastgeber - hier könnte man es einige Tage aushalten.Auf unserer mehrwöchigen Reise um die Ostsee war dies der einzige Ort , wo wir sofort entschieden ,nicht nur eine Nacht zu bleiben. Dazu trug auch der Umstand bei , dass in Steinwurfnähe das hauseigene exzellente Restaurant sich befindet. Ein Ort mit Wiederkehrcharakter.

Superb little compound built around a small harbor consisting of an Inn and restaurant as well as a small fishing museum. Very scenic and relaxing place. The hotel design is very cool (wonderful breakfast included) and the restaurant next door serves very tasty and interesting dishes. Their bread is out of this world! The hosts are very friendly and the service is top notch. Prices are also reasonable. It is only open during the summer so you have a month and a half left for this season. Definitely worth the couple hour trip from Tallinn.

Unbelievable place! Eye candy as well as food for body and soul. Great personal service, delicious locally produced food, sea views, nightingale singing in the background... there is a cozy hotel as well as a restaurant at the harbour. We visited the restaurant only this time but would definitely stay at the hotel next time.

Upea illallinen, ruoka loistavaa paikallisista raaka-aineista. Miljöö valtavan kaunis, istuimme meren äärellä satakielen laulaessa. Palvelu erinomaista ja lämminhenkistä. Ehdottomasti matkan arvoinen!
