We stayed in The Workshop at Mossie's, which was the most peaceful, warm and welcoming place. Rain or shine, it's a great spot to spend a few days. We had an impressive amount of rain during part of our visit and it was just heaven to sit warm and cosy beside the fire, with the patio door open listening to the trees and the rain.
The breakfast at Mossie's was super, with a nice variety of options on the menu and excellent coffee. We also had the grazing board one evening - would highly recommend! The interiors are so beautiful (and spotlessly clean). Hosts, Vanessa and Matti, have done an exceptional job here; everything is to such a high standard with many lovely little details - even milk and eggs in the fridge when we arrived. Mossie's is a very special place, a must visit!

Idyllic place with sea views and an extraordinary garden. Vanessa and Matt are lovely hosts and very friendly. The house and rooms are tastefully decorated and the breakfast made in part with locally sourced products is delicious. We would have liked to stay another day and enjoy the setting and comfort of home. We will come back and it really is a place to advise.

I stayed here as a solo traveler, just for one night. Absolutely gorgeous location, house, and grounds...so charming. Matti and Vanessa were welcoming and helpful. I stayed in the French Room, very beautiful and comfortable, with a nice balcony. Breakfast was less of the traditional B&B fare (no scones, brown bread), with warm flaky pastries, homemade jams, and hot dishes (I got the avocado toast with sprouts and a soft egg, delicious!). They have an "honor bar" for guests since going out for a drink is more difficult. On a random note they also have the *softest* towels and a super cushy duvet, which I haven't found to be the case much in Europe. One thing to know is that because of their remote location, the wifi doesn't work in most of the rooms, so you'll have to use it in the common areas (which are quite comfy), and I didn't get cell signal either. Wasn't an issue for me but just an FYI if that's an important for your trip. And you need to plan ahead on where to eat for the same reason--it's a bit more remote but worth it!

What can I say.... Vanessa and Matti are just perfect hosts. The accommodation is gorgeous, very sympathetically restored. The very simple touches of fresh flowers the hand made soaps, shampoo and shower gel and the beautiful soft furnishings throughout make this a very special experience. The breakfast menu is plentiful and the home baked bread just lovely. A perfect location for exploring west Cork and the Beara peninsula. We look forward to returning.

In reality, it's 6 stars for this is one and I am not exaggerating. This is a gem worth driving to from whenever you are. The charm and taste of decor is matched only by the quality of service offered by Matti and Vanessa. Cloud like beds in a house that is a jewel and greets you with the stunning view of the ocean and a beautiful garden. Breakfast is not a meal, it is an experience. Excellent selection of options, most of them made on site... And while you have your delicious, fresh and wholesome meal you can listen to the excellent music choices and watch the world go by in an incredibly beautiful corner of the emerald island. I can't praise this place enough, it's worth a drive, a flight... Whatever you need to do to experience the bliss of a stay here. If you are the exploring type is also strategically situated in west cork making countless things reachable with a scenic drive. Best stay of my life and I had my fair share. Exceptional, really out of any league

Go to Mossie's . It's absolutely terrific. Rare to get such quality. Real quality nothing ersatz. impeccable housekeeping. Vanessa and Matti who run the BB on behalf of the owner are so helpful and knowledgeable and serve one of the most amazing breakfasts. And for someone like me who does not like the so called full Irish breakfast the smashed avocado with poached eggs on toasted homemade sourdough was Heaven. The breakfast was served with such attention to detail it was a wonder to behold - very very stylish Great views, great wildlife in the garden and surrounding small roads were great for walks. Terrific kayaking about a mile away only 15 euros per hour for a single kayak 25 for double kayak.
Vanessa and Matti also provide a packed lunch if desired. Excellent Do read the very comprehensive guide in the bedrooms. This is a guide to the facilities and restaurants, things to do in in area. All extremely well researched.

Oh wow how to start a review for Mossies b&b. It is truly a wonderful place to stay. We have been twice & have a third stay booked. The Russian room is our favourite with the lovely balcony and views. The breakfast is delicious with the yummy homemade bread and good strong coffee. Vanessa & Matti are fabulous hosts, so professional, friendly and kind. We love staying at Mossies, it is spotlessly clean, smells fab and the gardens that are so well kept speak for themselves. We really look forward to staying again soon.

We stayed in the' Russian Room' and it was first class. The young couple who run this guesthouse deserve full credit for doing a very professional job . Nice setting, ideal for visiting the Beara Peninsula and Co Kerry. Breakfast is excellent. Home made bread is a must.

A magnificent Country House B&B with almost over the top attention to detail. It's truly just WOW! huge spacious bedrooms & big bathrooms, lovely view of the lake, no expense was saved when this magnificent establishment was renovated to its present form. Hosts Matti & Vanessa are extremely helpful & informative and you lack for nothing there. A pretty forest with deer surrounds the house. Breakfast served was of highest quality and they have a refreshing honesty bar. There are just no negatives at this B&B. It's first on our returning list for our next holiday in Ireland.

We stayed at Mossies B&B for 4 nights and it was Heavenly. Vanessa and Matti were the perfect hosts the property is stunning inside and out. The Russian room we occupied is a little bit of pure luxury. The welcome we were given was so genuine and we got loads of good advice about where to spend the day. The food at the b&b was so good fresh and tasty we loved the homemade bread. From the fresh flowers set out around the house to the various different places to unwind and relax inside and out were a delight . We would highly recommend a stay at Mossies it’s much much more than a B&B Marie and Des
