Back for the 4th consecutive year to see in the New Year with friends! Had a fabulous time. Accommodation in Sheldon better than ever - with stunning views and stocked with everything we needed. Can recommend the breakfast basket plus local sausages and bacon too which we pre-ordered. The long-room again provided an escape for the children (now teenagers) to...

Wheeldon Trees was perfect from the minute we drove into the forecourt. The setting is beautiful and no detail has been spared in the conversion of the cottages. The gates to each unit are each of a different design and had been decorated with a wreath for Christmas. We were given a warm welcome and from then on it was...

Just back from another great visit to Sheldon Cottage at Wheelden Tree Farm. The cottage and location is a great escape and relaxation with a number of great eating pubs in the area. The dogs had a good time and are made very welcome. We will return again in the new year. Thanks Pam & Bob

Nestled in the narrow winding roads of Peak District is a small unassuming farm that hides a gem of a holiday cottage. Behind it, is its own small hill that one could climb to watch the fabulous sunrise and sunset, affording 360degree views of the landscape. The cottage is cosy and so well equipped, it brings shame to most homes....

I can say that this is probably the best cottage that we have stayed in and we have rented quite a few over the years. One of the problems we have encountered with self catering cottages in the winter is that they are not very warm but this is not the case a Wheeldon Trees, Heating is self controlled with...

We (a group of friends who like to walk) have just returned for our 8th visit, so we clearly like it! We hire a couple of cottages and enjoy walking and visiting local pubs. The cottages are very comfortable and have everything that we could possibly need and more. Deborah and Martin are welcoming and helpful. We will be back...

Our third trip back to Wheeldon Trees as a family (and fifth trip for me!) was as good as the first! We instantly feel at home, whether it is in our favourite cottage (Sheldon as Oliver, our seven year old, gets to sit on 'his' electric chair) or any of the others (been in four of them now!). It's the...

What can I say? This gem of a place was brilliant. Everything was provided and I mean everything, from the shower gel to a basket with items in for our dog. If you have forgot something or decide you don't want to cook there is a deep freezer full of ready made meals and a little shop with items for...
