Spent two nights at this lovely place whilst the plumber was installing our new bathroom. What a lovely experience! A very unusual quirky bed and breakfast. David was a perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. When you go, make sure you have the breakfast trifle.

David's background in interior design is very evident in this wonderfully restored house. It is the most delightful we have ever stayed in. David is a marvelous host with tea and coffee being offered on arrival and at other times. The wake up call and tray of tea brought to the bedroom half an hour before breakfast time was a...

David the owner, was very welcoming, friendly and was a great host with nothing being too much trouble. He provided us with tea and coffee delivered to the rooms in the morning and provided a late night coffee along with ice for whisky (we had brought this along)! The breakfast was excellent with bacon, sausage, eggs - the full works,...

The village appears in our walking book and a lucky search came up with Parson's House. David's hospitality was simply wonderful, along with plentiful trays of tea and shortbread, delicious breakfast delights and a very stylish and comfortable room with en suite shower room (we loved the quirky shower with plentiful hot water). We will definitely return.

We stayed just one night as were passing through on our way from the North West back to East Anglia, but I wish we had been able to stay longer. We received a wonderfully warm welcome from David, who looked after us beautifully, brought us tea in the morning and cooked the best breakfast we have ever had in a...

I belatedly joined my friends on a walking weekend. The accommodation they had booked was full (bank house). However they were very helpful and gave me the number of David at Parsons House. On arrival I was offered tea which sadly I had to refuse as we were walking immediately. When I got back from the walk more tea was offered...

We stayed 3 nights in this wonderful B&B managed by David and Alyson. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is so much better than your usual B&B, and for a fraction of the prices some B&Bs charge! Our room was massive and with lots of interesting features. The whole house itself is very quirky and we really enjoyed that. The...

We have just returned from a lovely weekend in Hartington made extra special by our stay at Parsons House. Everything went smoothly with our booking and Dave was very helpful in providing details for an evening meal at the local pub. We arrived fairly late on the Friday evening but this didn't seem to be any problem for our hosts...
