Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our stay at the Barn was so lovely. We had never stayed in the area and it seemed the ideal place to stay. Dorothy and Malcolm made us feel so welcome. We had lots of lovely things in the welcome pack from milk & local cheese to homemade fresh bread & eggs. We were able to wonder around and enjoy the breathtaking views. Raikes is within easy driving distance to Chatsworth, NT properties plus some great walks. Would I recommend it… definitely.

After our abroad holiday was cancelled we managed to get a week in this idyllic location. Malcolm and Dorothy were amazing hosts with a wealth of knowledge of the local area. We arrived to an unexpected lovely treat of cheese in the fridge, fresh eggs and some other goodies. The cottage itself was really well equipped and the beds super comfortable. Use of all the outdoor areas and a bbq as well. A great base for exploring the beautiful Peak District. Thanks for a memorable stay

A wonderful family bed and breakfast overlooking Beresford Dale and a stones throw from Hartington and Hulme End. The farm house was build in the early 1640's and is a listed period property with 3 on-suite bedrooms and incredible views. A fantastic breakfast and a friendly welcome are awaiting you! Dogs welcome!
