Apart from the slight difficulty we had in making a booking initially, we found our accommodation to be well presented, clean and comfortable. The Inn its self served delicious food which meant after a day walking we did not have to move from the bar, which also served a good selection of beer. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was...

In a good spot if you wish to explore the area, particularly good for walking - lots of public footpaths. We found The Manifold Inn to be very clean and the bedroom was very comfortable with an excellent en-suite. The breakfast was good and the restaurant had a good choice of menu for evening meals. The staff were very friendly...

A wonderful experience. We upgraded our room and WOW. 6 foot bed, fabulous modern bathroom and walk in shower. Woodland behind us, so quiet and peaceful. Breakfast and evening meals were delicious, could do with a little more variety at breakfast i.e. muesli, grapefruit/orange segments (personal preference) but the choice of cooked breakfast was good. Staff always obliging and appeared...

We stayed at The Manifold Inn for two nights. Our room was clean and comfortable with a very spacious bed. The breakfast was very good and we also enjoyed an evening meal there on both nights. The staff were friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The scenery around the Inn is fantastic and it's a...

The pub itself is OK,clean rooms and comfortable.Friendly staff.Good location for walking. In my opinion, it is not worth the £100 a night B&B price tag,i think you are paying for the location. There were 16 of us who ate at the pub,the food was reasonably priced but only average at best on quality. The golden ale was flat.Better food and drink...

Stayed here with friends on walking break. Booked King room, nice clean spacious room with excellent bathroom, plenty of tea and coffee, tv and very large comfortable bed. Great location for walking, would stay here again, but eat elsewhere, as food was very second rate.

Great location, Staff excellent, we stayed in the coach house room very quite and newly decorated, highly recommended away from the main Inn. the food is traditional Inn food, some of the specials over the two days we stayed were sold out as was the Sunday roast this I assume because there are two very busy caravan/ campsite which make...

Lovely characterful pub. Good service and friendly staff. Breakfast very nice, hot food cooked to order. Room was very clean and nicely decorated, comfy bed. Pub food was very good. Situated only a few hundred yards from the Manifold Valley Way, which was 8 miles long, easy cycling/ walking and very picturesque. Enjoyable stay. Good location.

The Manifold Inn is well located at the southern end of the Peak District within easy reach of places such as Leek, Buxton, Bakewell, Ashbourne, Ilam and Dovedale. There are several walks on the doorstep including the splendid 8-mile walk along a former railway line through the Manifold Valley. The hotel itself stands very well at a cross roads and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Manifold Inn is a delightful 200 year old coaching inn and restaurant that offers warm hospitality and quality home cooked food for visitors to the beautiful White Peak. The mellow stone inn is positioned within its own grounds nestling on the banks of the Manifold River, opposite The Old Toll House which used to serve the turnpike and river ford. This beautiful listed building is positioned close to a number of popular walking and cycling routes, including the Manifold Trail, set amongst the famous Staffordshire Moorlands and Derbyshire Dales which offer some of England's most natural and unspoilt scenery. The Manifold Inn is the perfect place to use as a base for exploring the surrounding natural countryside of the White Peak area or to visit the local Market towns of Bakewell & Ashbourne or Spa towns of Buxton & Matlock and their surrounding attractions. Open all year round and all days most of the year we offer our guests a range of Ales, Larger, Cider, Wines and Soft Drinks. We serve a traditional English Breakfast to guests and in the Summer to Campers. A Lunch Menu is available and during the Summer a Snack Menu if you are just looking for a quick bite to eat. A full Dinner Menu and Wine List is available to be served in our Bar, Conservatory, Snug or Restaurant. We can cater for Dinner Party groups for around 40 guests. We offer 10 en-suite hotel rooms and a 2 bedroom holiday cottage to guests. We often have bookings from large family groups attending a birthday and wedding or walking and cycling groups who want to get to together and enjoy a weekend in the beautiful local area around the River Manifold. ... more   less

“The only downside for us was the position of the room - on the ground floor overlooking the car park which did interfere with our privacy a little. However ,we were told by other guests that their upstairs rooms had good views.”
